News section

Hello,

 

 The "NEWS" section appears now on the main screen of the game. It was before genuily "hidden" under the player nickname, and "advertised" with red notifications.

 

At first, this "NEWS" section is "pretty much" useless as it's what we all can read in the WG gaming center. If people want to have info about the game, they can read what there is in the WG center.

 

Notifications are regularly pushed like your favorite tiktok or Instagram app.

 

  I'm requesting the fantastic UI dev under the order of the economic department to reset this feature that is around 6 months old. You can also in the game option, give the possibility for players to personalise the UI: if they want woodka or not, or eventually make a multiple-choice questionnaire to check if players are blind or illiterate. We already have to adapt to the battle pass.

But there's people not using WGC as they're playing via Steam, Epic or MS-Store?

They can add then this feature for those users. I use the original game client like a few of us.

The actual game UI is the same though, no matter what launcher you use. So no, they can't.

 

What may be possible is an option to make some slight personal changes to the UI. Depends on how they programmed it, I guess. Though anything you hide would still have to be accessible to you somehow.

 

Just as a slight note though: If you were to read the news while logged into your account, it should be greyed out in the game UI anyway and not be much (if any) of a disturbance. And if you do it without being logged in, you cannot start missions or grab presents that are placed in the news.

I ll have to get used and let die their tiktok-like notifications I know, unless a modder will make another app to get rid of that crap. Thx

They can still use the website for that.

 

I never used the news section other than to click on "Mark all as read" to get rid of the red blob ...

In general the totally cluttered UI, and clickshit this game requires makes me nausious when i just want to do a quick game and slam a few shells. It's all suppost to engage me in playing more but it just makes me go way. Yuk. I would love a simple TL;DR version of this game.
