So, are there any news? Last I heard it will be availabe early 2023. I'm guessing it will be RB but it could very well be dubloons, because why the hell not. Opinions?

Newsflash, kid: there are people interested in subs. Just because you and a few others seemingly get some perverted pleasure out of hating on those vessels doesn´t mean noone likes them. Besides, I take it you haven´t seen the dev blogs about the upcoming british and russian sub lines? With all that denial you harbor.

you know it is interesting but I can count about 3-4 names on these forums that are pro-sub while there are a few dozen that are against ... if the situation would be "normal" I'd expect a lot more submarine defenders on these forums ...

Oddly enough subs have found their playerbase. And may I remind you that not everybody who plays also frequents this forum. Last but not least, just because the haters are more vocal they are not the defining factor nor the clear majority.

 

Since this discussion has been done to death I´ll simply skip the rest this time and leave you with this:

 

Rage all you want, subs are here to stay and more are coming. And as long as you play you basically validate the game as-is. And if you don´t play... what the he** are you still doing here? See ya. Or not.

 

 

P.S.: I don´t even play them that much myself. But I like having them around. As one of my favourite Youtubers says: "Options! are good."

Against CLs and lesser protected CAs they are a citadel printing machine. Against other CAs and BBs you aim a bit higher or towards prow/stern and farm. They do suffer against DDs, but that is more of a German-HE problem in general.

I know more than 4-5. But most of them have critique on the current implementation as well. The problem is not subs are disliked, the problem is the implementation which is hated by many (because it's considered intrusive by those who just want to play as pre-subs), too unintuitive to them and they're not capable of dealing with limited intelligence and experience on subs). WG dropped the ball in educating people and game mechanics.
