can someone advise me?

 

how do i get research points?

I have 1500 but I really have no idea how I got it. I play normally as usual, but the last few days I see that I don't get any points.

can be earned by resetting a line of explored ships ? what does that mean?

Go to tech tree and on the bottom you will have notes with explanation how it works.

  i think i understand. That whole line of ships should be opened? So that's how I get to those research points. sorry that this website is not in Dutch but only in English. it's all complicated

You reset a line (can be found under T10's that you finished grinding). When you reset all the ship in that line will be reset XP wise and sold for half price. YOu then replay that line or use FXp to speed through. With every new tier unlock as from tier 5 the unlocked ship will have a RP icon, a variation on the snowflake principle. Winning your first match in a ship with the RP icon will reward you the RP alotted to that tier. Each season you get to reset for double points.

EDIT: a reset is performed on a single line. Not both branches.

As others have pointed out, the intention is to reset a tech tree line and then grind it out ... again.

But once you've gained access to the RB (by researching five tech trees up to T10) you also get a couple of missions per month that reward a small amount of RB points.

That's probably where you've got the 1500 from.

How many tier X researchable ships do you have?

You need 5 tier X ships researched to fully unlock Research Bureau. Then you receive 10 000 research points (only once, as a gift).

And then (and only after) you can reset lines and research them again.

Also mind that resetting a line will grant a total of 10k RP that can be modified by a multiplier which will be available every 3 months. In this example I have reset the IJN torpedo DD line with a x2 multiplier, which means that any RP received are doubled (currently at Yugumo again, so when I finally do play the Shimakaze I will receive 12k RP instead of only 6k). If you are patient enough to wait for a couple of months and willing to spend enough free XP without actually re-grinding the line, you can even stack those multipliers to x3 or x4. Else I recommend to not reset lines more than every 3 months.
