[Poll] How would you rebalance CVs Post Nerfs?

Hi All, 

 

If you are unaware, WG are planning to nerf CVs in two ways: 

 

• Remove plane spotting
• Massively reduce strike power by changing how it interacts with aa and making recalling slower. 

 

As these together represent the largest shift in gameplay in WoWs, history, I have attached a poll to see how you would restore CVs to balance. I note that I do not think CVs are overpowered (and think they need a small buff in their current state), but I don't think it's unreasonable to think that these nerfs would be excessive.

 

I would like to note that due to CVs role, as a strategic class in a tactical game as one forumite put it, I do think CVs will have to be more impactful than other classes to see play, and I don't see their current state as unreasonable. I do know that a lot of people don't like CVs but I seriously don't think that it is healthy for a class to be nerfed into oblivion. I would like to know what other people think.

Auto launch strike for anti DD capability - poor CV when they for once get ambushed by a DD, normally hiding behind the entire team. Can I have this on my BBs also?

The no plane spotting test is ~2 years old already i'd say and hasn't made it past close testing.

The nerfs are to make CVs more balanced as they're currently immensely overpowered. Your whole narrative is flawed.

6 - If we actually nerfed CVs instead of acting out of the assumption that they will get nerfed.

It will make CVs even more unplayable. They have been nerfing CVs since the rework.

I love have you have to select a buffet of CV buffs to participate in the poll. Selecting CVs don't need a buff is not allowed
Your poll is like voting in north korea : Is kim jong un your eternal beloved and respected dear leader YES or YES

I did say “if CVs have to be buffed, how would you do it”, so I don’t see the problem tbh

The problem is with the basic nature of how polls work on the forum. 
 

So for the second question you listed a variety of buffs for people who voted yes to CVS being buffed, but you forgot to provide a box to tick for those who voted no to buffs in question one.
 

Also I would suggest it’s often wise to provide an “other please explain below” option, just it’s useful in polling as people can be quite varied.

Only buff CVs should get would be the capability to drop (non-spotting) fighter plane squadrons any where via a right-click on the mini-map.

I see, I did consider the option of a ‘don’t know’ button, but I was concerned everyone would choose it, as picking an option is hard, and I wanted to see what people thought.

Hmmmm i wonder why the op thinks his handicapped/handholding class that shits on everything else needs buffed?

CVs are the equivalent of  having a class in an fps shooter that has aimbot/wall hack and cloak abilities and can use them all the together at the same time and they have no cooldown, that's how retarded their implementation is.

The two wheelchair/handholding classes are why this game has and will be run into the ground, it's a dead end and an absolute waste of everyones time.

WG need to do one of two things, remove CVs/Subs or just shut down the servers and move onto their next fail.

So you don’t believe that El2azer plays CV’s or has ever played CV’s.

 

interesting view that, as one of the few people, that actually worry me when see on the other team in a CV.
