When will ranked change

I always push up fast to gold. It is easier in the beginning as there are many good players pushing with you, you can get better teammates more often. Bronze is a couple of days, and T5 was really nice, I used Agincourt with secondary build as no CV was in this tier. It took me two sprints to grind through silver, but again it was a nice experience, I have fully trained a commander for Sims during this. Now I just grind the gold rewards at every sprint then switch to brawl, to grind that. T10 ranked (and gold usually) is still better to play with more conscious players than random, but man, it is so toxic. The bullying in chat, the reports, the 4x% admirals who want always you to do their bidding. I also hated full T10 ranked. Ranked is good for grinding for commander XP and credit as well.

Obvious BB main pretending cruisers are fine at T5, probably why you only run BBs at T5 and have about 2% of your ranked games played in cruisers.
Newsflash, T5 cruisers as a whole are generally trash.

Cruiser mains don't ahve anything to do here.

 

Its just bbs and dds. Cruisers are cannon fodder

I have to Agree. tier 5 is a terrible choice for ranked if you're a cruiser main/player. Been playing the Tiger instead..  She seems ok...ish

Of course you can make cruisers work, and Furutaka especially because of the 203s that overmatch the cruiser you force to spawn on the red team, but it doesn't mean that cruisers are good in a class balance perspective.
And I'd argue that most of it comes down to this being bronze, where you can get away with a lot of aggressive stuff as a good player, including rushing smokes in a Furutaka, because of how incompetent the opposition generally is in T5 bronze.

Personally I think this inherent cruiser weakness makes T5 ranked the least interesting ranked season in ages, because once you more or less take one class out of the equation like that, it makes for some very stale gameplay after a while once the meta shifts into BB+DD.

I agree, I just get defensive when I smell even a whif of bad mouthing furutaka, I become Gollum and furutaka is my precious! Did 180K in it once thinking that must be a record, only to find out some pychopath did 215K.

Not sure when this season ends tbh but I hope we get a "final sprint of the season" notification and that way I'll push onto to silver and gold for an extra bit of doubloons and steel instead of purposefully staying in easy-mode bronze farming the goodies.

 

Personally I've taken the opportunity to use this T5 mode to play a class I've always liked the idea of playing but sucked balls at it, DD's. So I've been exclusively playing DD's of contrasting styles during the last few sprints to improve and refine this important classes playstyle. Still suck balls in some battles, but it's becoming rarer and I'm getting the "knack" for it, hopefully standing to me and removing my reluctance to actually buy a higher tier coal or steel DD for PvP modes. I've learned the joy and power of gunboat DD's over torpedo boats.

Big statistic shows ranked blows. please make it blow less by putting the bronze league atleast at t8-t7. no cvs.

Of course, it blows. How is being dumped on by CVs fun? Now we have Super CVs and dumb Superships that can clean a cruiser with a salvo without much problem. WG doing its best to ruin its own game. Superships are OP. WG accepts they're OP. CVs aren't balanced for 6v6. The game is a shitshow for everyone but the CV players.

I'd personally be fine if WG wants to ruin randoms with superships and subs, if they left ranked alone.

But now that I had to play against superships if I wanted to play high tier ranked, courtesy of WG, I decided to just quit instead.

Do whatever you want with the shitshow that is randoms, but at least leave ranked as a still viable option for those of us who actually care about the competitive aspect in this game.

T5 made me quit ranked, its mind-boggleingly frustrating how many wins are needed to get out of that hell. No matterwhat class, you basically have to 1v7 each game and the ships just arnt deadly enough for that.

 

Love T8 and even T7,T9, T10 in ranked, but as long as T5 is the entry point i'd rather not play.

Please WG some way to skip T5 hell and get to silver?

Something tells me you're freeloading on your team if that is your experience.
Getting to gold is usually easier the later you do it, because then there's generally more potatoes left in the lower leagues than good players who already ranked out, meaning you can stomp and carry hard if you're good yourself.
The better players there are around, the harder it gets to gain stars, because over time they will be equally distributed on both teams, allowing for less carrying on average.

What I would like is maybe like CB WG to add ship restrictions after say 2 or 3 sprints, say cut out all unavailable old OP ships after the 1/2 way mark?  It would be far more balanced and I think they do stop OP tanks in WOT in ranked....

 

(Also CVs that are balanced for smaller games.....but thats asking for lots of hard work....)

Yes you did. Higher tiers are alot easier to carry.

I need faster reload on my minekaze/kamikaze too keep up with my teams ability to suicide. Plus a way to deal with the occasional furutaka that isn't braindead.

 

Also t5 is extremely boring compared to higher tiers

Pick something else than a typical torp boat, you need to be aggressive around the red DDs and wipe them early if you want to farm this league with as few games as possible.
Personally I used T-22 for the job, not a great DD by any means but it works consistently well for clubbing the potato league, without relying much on torp RNG.

The boring part I completely agree with though.

Yeah, I just stay back and wait until they win. I mostly play secondary BBs, so it is good for me to stay back. That is why I get ahead fast to gold, because I'm freeloading and not contributing. It is always an advantage to the team. I assume that is what you mean.

thanks for the tip, will take it under consideration. Can't remember if I have t22. I generally try to play premiums in ranked to maximize credit gain, if I'm not on a grind/regrind.

 

But the worst is the boredom!
