When will ranked change

Big statistic shows ranked blows. please make it blow less by putting the bronze league atleast at t8-t7. no cvs.

Why not progress through bronze to silver. It all blows, but the tiers improve. No point whining in bronze if you can’t be bothered to try progress. Can’t be carried forever matey! Don’t be one of those people.

I dont have enough time to get through bronze. Keeping your star at rank 4 in only losing matches only keeps moral up so far. and when the thing resets. have fun starting back from 10.

Ranked is likely only a get rich scheme for the very best of us who can progress all the way through in one go. Many simply use it to farm steel anyhow and are content to stay in one place and don’t care if they finish the season in rank 10, as long as they have the rewards, so maybe they could vary the tier a little. I personally hate tier 5 but stuck it out to silver and I don’t have a lot of playtime either. Good luck!

If someone is still in Bronze after so many weeks into this season, he is exactly where he is supposed to be (and stay). If you can't win at T5, please don't even try at higher tiers.

Nope, you can win games but because WG wants you to spend as much time as possible in Ranked, its more about grind than about winning.  

 

I don't think different tier matters come to enjoyment, far more unavailable OP ships most players don't have in the higher tiers than T5.

That is why when I play ranked I never try to rank out.

Normally just enough games to reach the end of 'irrevocable levels' or get 100% win rate (sometimes just 2 games)

It's a game; what's the point of stressing over it.

While I agree with the sentiment of your post overall, I don't fully agree with this. The Giulio Cesare/Kamikaze spam at T5 ranked is pretty cancerous.

 

(that said, only one of those is IMO OP in ranked; small maps with lots of islands aren't really that good for kamikaze, it thrives in randoms)

Having ranked (and clan battles) at various tiers, not just T10, is one of the if not the best change they made in years. I love a good reason to play lower tiers, especially T5. I don't even have Kamikaze/Fujin or Cesare. I had a lot of fun with O.Revolutsiya and Furutaka in Bronze. Gadjah Mada, Fiji -& Sinop mostly in Silver. People whine about kamikaze/cesare too much. Furutaka is free and a well played Furutaka is stronger than both. Okt. Revolutsiya is 40K coal and probably stronger than Cesare on these small maps because it's way tankier and short fuse AP blaps cruisers.

Most Kamikaze players don't know what to do when you drive into them with hydro anyway, noooo you're supposed to drive around randomly because you're trying to get unspotted and eat torpedoes, you can't charge into me. Kamikaze/Fujin maffia is used to bullying people who are concerned about eating torps and being spotted, they're clueless when you drive into them.

In fact, T5 is very possibly not a nice tier for Ranked. As several posters pointed out, these lower tiers have a IMHO disproportionate large population of veterans with currently unavailable OP ships (Giulio Cesare!, Kamikaze sisters) in combination with high point commanders. Hence, not-so-well equipped players may struggle.

Same holds surely true for T6 and T7 (T-61, Belfast).

 

This said, I found out for myself that a Texas with a 16-pointer Halsey (mind the turret rotation skill) provided me with a quite smooth ~60% WR ride up to the qualification for Silver after some struggles in Tiger, Königsberg, Yahagi, Mutsuki and Minekaze, neither yielding very satisfying results. The Texas' gunpower (broadside weight, fire concentration due to barrel count and gun range) gives you an advantage against Königs and October Revolutions (and even his sister, the New York), it allows reasonable defense against DD also.

 

I'm currently grinding my Shiratsuyu for RB purposes in Silver with some success, having made the observation that the numbers of Atlantas and Belfasts is bearable, especially as there are mostly enough BB around to somewhat negate their anti-DD firepower.

I've played T5 only and the kami and Cesare 'spam' is not bad actually. Think it's fine, T5. I dont like everything to beT10. I've played Murmansk almost all games. 70-ish% WR i think as of late?

This right here is why I don't play anymore.
I love high tier gameplay, but when that involves facing superships and subs in randoms, I'm just not gonna bother because my spare time is worth more than subjecting myself to that sort of bullsh*t which I do not enjoy.
Meanwhile T7 and below is just too imbalanced to the point that it sucks fun out of the game as well (some might enjoy it, but personally I don't).

There is still two sessions in this season of ranked, so four weeks at least. But considering that next ranked is not announced for the next patch, probably not before 2023

This have nothing to do with someone's capabilities. There are many people that are aware how Ranked is equaly bad as Randoms in the matter of quality of players so they don't see the point of moving beyond bronze league.

I didn't even play this tier 5 Ranked more than 1 battle. Is that makes me unworthy of higher Ranked leagues?

I know I could push to Gold IF I wanted to, and when this game would be entirely different developed than it is for the last few years. As we all know that WoWS turned wrong direction upside down.

 

Someone may say that some players are not good enough for league beyond bronze. I say they are the smart ones because they spare themself of any frustrations that comes with this game. And level of frustration is only getting worse and worse with each year.

Your post sounds like you are saying that players are better beyond tier 5. There is no rule about that, atleast not for over 5 years now.

Since you can even let a bot rank you out, I'd say that rank and skill aren't even remotely related.

 

That being said: I played one week of T5 ranked and was fed up with it. The ships are essentially all trash. They have no gimmicks, no range, no armor, terrible accuracy, no agility and move slow like a snail. I could not be bothered to put in enough time to get out of bronze. It just was no fun.

Yeah, I ran T-22 for the most part myself.
It's not a particularly great boat with anything special (apart from short range hydro) to set it apart from the others, yet I still clubbed potatoes hard with it.
That stuff gets very old after a while.

Tha maps are small. I play König all season for the steel, no problems at all. It has not been T5 ranked since first sprint so it is excellent that there is variety. There are several good ships at T5. The cruisers in this tier are fragile but they can use the speed to frustrate the BBs. You just have to stand out this ranked, it will be different tiers other seasons. I actually like when there is tier variety in bronze between seasons.

T5 was a breath of fresh air, but I went to silver during the first sprint.

Not gonna leave silver, I got rank 1 on it the 2nd sprint. Now I just grind the rewards.

 

I hate T10 ranked, so booring. Last pure T10 bronze/silver/gold I did not bother even playing.

I only know groups that "think" that they are good meta players but they're all just sub par and actually limb their team by forcing people in ships that can't play that meta ship.

 

So I avoid cb at all costs.
