[3X7R4] extravaganza Beta Tester 7 posts 45,992 battles Report post #1 Posted November 28, 2022 On the current test server you can see (could be seen) that WG is planning to change the appearance of the "Collector" flag - without any prior information or communication, like in the old days ... Actually, after various debacles in the past, WG had promised to inform the player base in advance about upcoming changes, adjustments, etc., to improve or even end WG's own "miscommunication". The current collector's flag, especially popular with many "old" or "diligent" players, shows a yellow WoWs logo with two yellow diagonals on a dark blue/green background. Known for years and clearly recognizable, even in gameplay. The apparently new planned flag is light blue, with a small white ship in frontal view (DD ?, cruiser ?). Especially in direct comparison the new flag is not clearly recognizable, because there are already many light blue flags in the game, with a correspondingly easy risk of confusion. In addition, the new version is hard to see during gameplay - since the representation is much too small and filigree. Why does WG even come up with the idea that flags should now be changed, which have been in the game for years - and are known accordingly, is a mystery to me - with all the other problem areas that WoWs is known to have ... Is WG bored, or was a trainee instructed to "do something" for teaching purposes ?? Another point is that the current flag is clearly designed to match the dog tag (collector's plate - background) exactly - which is no coincidence ! Separating this optically "identical duo" makes zero sense. I don't want the new flag - I don't like it, and moreover it's totally interchangeable with existing flags. It is to be feared that WG plans further changes without prior information and thus simply wants to create facts that cannot (or do not want to) be taken back.
