Marketing is also kind of weird, showing the ship cruising past snow capped mountains?, "Admiral of the North?, " sure you haven't confused the Netherlands with Norway, Finland or Sweden?

Most likely because  Maarten Harpertszoon Tromp had a son Cornelis Maartenszoon Tromp, Count of Sølvesborg. The son was in active Danish service in the Scanian War. Scandinavia is often connected with winter and snow.

The Dutch navy names the ships Tromp to honor both Father and Son, as both were successful admirals in Dutch service.

@Seraphice Have you managed to proceed with the investigation of the meaning of "Admiral of the North" and the graphics for the Tromp event?

It is simply a theme that is in line with the time of year. There is not much else about it.

Fair seas captain!

It will be a coal ship in a few weeks, so please don't spend your money and FXP on it.
