Am I confused, or did they remove the normal ships from the containers? Only reason I was thinking about buying some, was the chance of a Kutuzov... Torps are useless against the first line of encounters. Your guns are subpar so that your game is based upon sneeking past these enemy DDs and Cruisers unseen to hit the big ships behind. Asashio is a unique ship, can't really be compared to any of those (which are all good, more or less all round, versatile DDS). Asashio can deal with DDs due to superior spotting and "good enough" guns. It's not great at it, but it can manage, especially if you have a division shooting what you spot. Asashio is not good at dealing with cruisers, ngl. But Asashio is the rider on the pale horse when it comes to BBs, no other DD even comes close. You can farm every BB in the game, higher tier is just better than lower tier as they have more HP and XP to give you. It's not just that ASashio has 20 km torps. The point is that it has fast, low detection, 20 km torps that it can fire vast numbers of due to reload booster. 5 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

DDs and cruisers are less of a problem if you have a cruiser/bb pal who shoots whatever you spot. That said, it is not at all a bad ship even in solo play in randoms.
