You citadelled him when he was stopping flat broadside? That was not even bad. The rest - dispersion of that tub at that distance gets atrocious. Well, anything that isn't point range blank, really.

The first one was when he was breaking and turning away, you just should have compensated for that.

 

Also, for the bad - for the love of god, skill fire protection. Before anything else. And that thing where you turn your turrets faster. And maybe get the module if it's available, it's painful to watch.

If you only use your frontal guns, you halve your salvo weight, your dpm and the chance to citadel. Or hit stuff in the first place, see "dispersion" above.

If you want to learn how to aim, play Slava, with these things you just throw shells in the general direction of the enemy without ever knowing if it was RNG or lack of skill.

Also press C to better aim with the ASW, they were going all over the place, you could have killed him easily.

 

Basically, nothing spectacular, it's the usual craptacular low tier gameplay which I abhor for a reason.
