That's some incredibly vague, whilst also being extremely threatening language to use - When WG has CONSISTENTLY ignored every complaint that the playerbase has brought up since the game's release.

 

And literally as I'm typing this, disconnected from the server instantly after clicking "battle" and then again after 20-30 seconds into battle.  

 

And WG thinks threatening their playerbase for this **** is acceptable???

There is a number of reasons to why people goes AFK and the biggest one is either the game crashes, loading screen stop working and you can hear the battle but nothing happens. And I have a brand new gaming pc (4 month old) that cost me 3.357,82 EUR and in those 4 month I have had countless times experienced these things and could do nothing except pull the plug and restart.

Agree with you but to be fair there has to be some kind of punishment for going AFK intentionally and sadly I have seen that to often.

I will definitely not inject any more money into this game, not even the usual 360 days of premium time at the end of the year.

 

Just as I already said in the other thread: I only have one screen and I tab out often, sometimes even between BB salvos. If that means WG will steal my rewards in the future ... guess what? I will simply just stop playing and instead switch to games where I can do whatever I please.

I must admit I'm surprised at the amount of static the notifications are getting.

If you're in a battle and it's started and you've ALT-TAB'd elsewhere, then a notification is fine as a reminder to support you're team mates.

FWIW : I'll ALT-TAB while waiting in a queue, but never in battle while I'm alive.

That doesnt sound good. I can only be happy that I dont have those issues.

of course, crap happens, if I had to do something more important during a game, give me a pink status, but I have been turned pink due to game crush few times. If I’m keep getting a notification telling me to get back in game while the client is not working. I’d be even more pissed off.

I can counter that by saying that I can count the number of players who never even move their ship with one hand per week. I guess most people who start late into the match simply have connection issues or really long loading times. Running away from enemy ships and hiding in a lost match is not being AFK.

And I can tell you that I am not the only one that have experienced it and people have complained about it countless times and WeeGee is just blaming us and asked us to send in a WGCheck to Costumer Support where they just send us around in circles.

1: Most likely it is WeeGees servers that are old.

I do other things all the time while I'm in a situation where there is nothing to do in the game. I don't need to watch my DD sailing towards a cap for 2 minutes with no enemy within 20km who could possibly spot me or present a priority target while I could look up some unfamiliar enemy ship's consumables in the wiki. I don't need to spend 30 seconds staring at my BB loading progress while I could change to another track in my playlist in the meantime. I don't need to watch the game until the end when it is 100% clear that I won't make it anywhere near the last fleeing enemy ship which is being hunted down on the other side of the map by five of my teammates. There are many situations where multitasking is completely viable and reasonable.

I run a fiber connection 500/500 Mbit so that should not be a issue and as I wrote I have a 4 month old gaming pc with the newest of the newest inside of it. But my guess is that their server are old and they are just making emergency solutions on them instead of buying new ones.

I wouldn't get too defensive about this new "feature" just yet. If anything, WG has proven for 6 years that they want all your money so much, they are willing to overlook even the most blatant, consistent and severe unsportsmanlike behavior. They have never punished unsportsmanlike behavior. Their sole approach was removing features that could be used to grief, like e.g. team damage. I have opened tickets about players who were afk, did team damage and used profanities all in one and the same battle. And still wows-numbers told me they weren't even banned for a day. Ofc the standard message I got from support read like the guy was facing a firing squad.

 

I shall judge WG's effort to stop griefing based on players like this:

 

 

If sabotage like this ends, we will know that WG is finally serious.

Some days ago, after years of not playing, I jumped into T6 CV Ranger, I think and rolled into battle Coop. Imagine that, bloody enemies killed every my plane and I did not score any points.

 

But I was trying hard lol

 

And if a disappointment alone is not enough, game decide to finish me off, saying smth like "you were very bad player in this battle, passive as F, so we take away anything you could win"

 

To say it was highly motivating, is say nothing at all. I probably must be very relieved game did not painted me pink.
