Aren't you ashamed to ask your playerbase if they want to buy tokens for that Velos, that they should pay 121.16€?

When will be enough for you? Is there a limit for greed?

Yeah, it's odd, they are selling a ship for standard price, but disguised as a "generous" little event. It's a shame, cause Velos looks cool, but it's not for coal, or steel or any ingame free currency, yet still a tier 9 ship.

I'd wish Wargaming would quit that, but they just don't have a cap on their greed do they...

For birthday coupons there is "techical" issue but for Velos coupons it's fine comrade.

I keep clicking on the "get mission" button but nothing is happening.... No response at all... 

On another note, seriously finish a set of missions to be able to buy the ship for doubloons? (and the price...)

121,16 EUR

 

 

Jokes aside, the limit of their greed is the limit the whales are still willing to pay for a ship, and 121.16 EUR is clearly bellow it.

I really see no issue in the price.

 

If players are willing to fork out a fortune for a pixel ship....... let them.

 

I personally have no lust to spend £$ on WOWS with the direction it seems to be going. But I am glad if Whales will.... Servers cost something to keep running,

I have enough doubloons from missions  etc in order to get the ship, which I really want since it's a historical ship from my own country (bla bla bla) but even 20k doubloons seem a bit too much with Fletcher, Black, Benham and Chung mu available...

So the reward for playing through all those missions is the chance to buy the ship. Not even with a discount, no, it´s actually overpriced because it comes with a captain you have to pay doubloons for even if you don´t want / don´t need him.

With such a personal connection to that specific ship and the doubloons available you should go for it.

Agree. But if anyone is willing to pay for it..... well no animals were harmed (exept a whale or two).

Gone are the days of the Cossack event when after finishing a ( grindy/ difficult?) chain you only needed like a few Euro to buy the last remaining tokens. And this was already the first step into moneygrabbing by wg.  From completely free towards a small token monetary fee towards the “ privelige “ to buy some pixels for twice the amount of a good A grade game…

Does anybody know the price for the ship without the sequential bundles? Is that also 20.800 dubs?

I find this event a perfect example of WGs greed and stupidity. The armory section looks lovely, the pacific map in the style of a greek mosaic looks great. The ship itself, with the event camo, is halfway interesting.

But then the aggressive monetization for a mediocre ship comes in and ruins everything. No way in hell would pay so much money for such lackluster rewards.

And I think more and more whales will see it this way, as WG just botches one event after another.

I have to disagree, Sorry.

Nothing is ruined. We can still play for free. I do. If someone feels a fear of missing out of PixelShips... well then let them pay. It is what keeps this game (somewhat) afloat

I'm afraid this particular whale won't: Velos ought to be a slam-dunk way to get money out of me (real ship, with interesting history; Feltcher class, which are usually fun; DD which is my main type, and so on), but they're getting nothing - by forcing submarines into Randoms, they've made this ship a Coop-only thing (unless a T9 Ranked/Clans thing without submarines comes along) and simply not worth the money for me.

Yes it is, but I dont think I claim anything? My point is just, if someone is willing to fork out real money for pixel ships, let the..... I will not.

Dear WG team

 

To begin with, thank you for adding Velos with the colours of my country to the game that I still like and play. But that's where it ends... No, I won't buy it. Not because I don't want to have it in my collection, on the contrary. Not because you are an amazingly greedy company with no or little concern about your player-base and its needs but for one reason only that ticked me so wrong that I don't find it worthy even to just throw insults at you for that reason:

 

That "heritage of Hellas" on top of a mosaic depicting a well-known area in the far east archipelago (I won't mention the country I have nothing against them, it's a fantastic place). But it has nothing to do with Hellas. How would you like it if there was e.g. a website featuring, say, the Bolshoi Ballet and showing a group of locals dancing in the rainforests of Amazonia. Or a documentary about the great Russian writers of the 19th century, with the Beatles as background music?

 

In a few words: If you want to advertise a product of yours with words like "the heritage of Hellas" on top of an art-department recreation of an ancient Greek mosaic, at least use some of the 3,000 islands and islets and the almost 14,000 kilometers of coastline WITHIN the Hellenic archipelago. They are 100% Hellenic all these as is the nice skin of the ship and the music you use in the background.
