Will you spend the Submarine tokens on actually getting the subs?

Plz add an option to it for: I will spend it on T6 subs to be able to buy 70k FXP for 50k FXP after it.

Anyone knows the max no of tokens we can get for free?

 

I'm thinking converting either to credits or 40% credit boosters.

My personal strategy for the submarine early access:

• Get at least 2000 submarine tokens.
• Then get both Cachalot and U-69.
• Finally get the FXP submarine container.

Why?

• I am not spending dubs on early access, especially not on submarines.
• My community tokens are reserved for T7 premium containers with their guaranteed payoff of otherwise non-free content, so i am limited to a maximum of 2500 submarine tokens either way.
• With those 2500 tokens, i can maximize my potential gains by removing the T6 boats from the possible submarine container drops and cranking up the chance of getting one of the T8s.
• If i don't get a T8 sub from the submarine container, i will still earn a 20k FXP profit, which is ok for me.

Over the 2 rounds you can get in total 2500 tokens for free in the Personal Challenges @SurfaceFish

I haven't quite decided. I've just worked out that I can probably get all 1,250 tokens from the first round of Challenges, and maybe 750 from the second round, so enough to get both Tier 6 Subs. Not that I'll be playing with them, and I hope that WG's spreadsheet doesn't take that as an endorsement, but they'll boost my collection while saving my precious spare slots.

They will, thats why I wont do it, as a ship collector of real ships I will have to buy them at some point if I want the complete set in respective nations but I am NOT endorsing this BS early access, subs are not ready and they are toxic cr*p that has potential to completely ruin the game for the rest of the players in any match and I am not validating their choices by buying into that in any way, shape or form

What does it say about the character of players if they play them anyway?

I will get the German submarines, just to play them in Operation Wolfpack, because that's where the submarines belong to in my opinion: in their own game mode. I do not intend to play them in Random, Ranked or Brawls, maybe in Co-op for snow flakes or personal challenges.

If you collect all 1250 tokens from part one of the subs personal challenges (which I've already done), you can still complete additional ones but you only get 50 coal.

Got to wait now until the next round.

Haha. Since I never get any ships from crates, I successfully traded 50k for 70k FXP. I call that a bargain.

Don't enjoy playing against them in co-op, so've not wanted to inflict subs on anyone else

Ops are way better then PvP now IMHO, the problem is they locked even that to make everybody play that dumb as f Transilyvania stuff a month ahead of haloween…

Same here. I played it on PTS and it was decent. I hope she becomes permanent so I can grind these subs there.

 

@Seraphice did WG announced if Wolfpack is staying for future updates? Because I think she would be a nice addition but it's complicated given the random operation format. Being limited to subs makes her hard to integrate but a separate queue for subs could work imo.

That is actually really easy to solve.

If you're in a sub : Random op always gives Wolfpack

If you're in a Halloween ship : You get the appropriate Halloween op for your ship tier.

If you're in something else : You get a random op as normal.

 

Not sure why WG felt the need to replace Random ops with the Halloween / sub ones when they can run concurrently.

Depends on your viewpoint.

For WG's target 5% (if that's an accurate target) of the player base, the subs are the grand prize.

For everyone else, they're the booby prize.

Hence, why I took this approach:-
