Worst and best coal ship you ever bought?

I was wondering what would be in your opinon the worst and the best coal ship that you ever purchased?
I bought a few coal ships: Salem, Marceau, Thunderer, Napoli & Moskva. I got a few more that can also be bought for coal now, but I got them some other way, so I will not count them in this list.
Worst: Marceau (I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I just dont like this style of DD's, awful arcs and slow guns that dont hit anything from a distnace but this is a distance dd that has no smoke!?)
Best: Moskva (So tanky and rugged, from upfront can take on almost anything, great AP, 12 km radar, maybe there are better ships but this one is my fav, most fun)

I didnt regret any of the coal ship i bought so far ( some i got from Christmas containers ). However, i didnt heard anything good about the ITA BB, so i dont plan to buy that at all. Probably i would regret that one ship. Second possible candidate is the Flint, that i avoid to buy.

i dont know some have Georgia in they hands kind off ok, i think it still depends how player plays aswell

Iwami, i just love her. She can work on every distance and her good secs surprise many. Perfect ship for my playstyle

 

Worst:
Sherman, i know she is a good ship but i can't make her work

Best: probably Jean Bart, considering she holds several of my records despite being the first high-tier freemium I ever got.

 

Worst (by performance): I think Carnot. It's the Slava complex: she's squishy and AP-focused, so I go middle and look for broadsides. Unfortunately, that has less impact than making a beeling to the flank and kiting with HE, like I would do in plain old Ibuki...

 

Worst (by replay value): Kearsarge or Neustrashimy. Both good ships, but the gimmick doesn't really give them an identity, so I'm never interested in taking them out.

I have almost all coal ships and each one has something.

 

My most favorite however are Musashi, Thunderer, Yoshino, Smolensk ,Jean Bart , Marceau, F. Sherman, G. Kurfurst

The Thunderer is such a stupid, one-dimensional lump of a boat. JB, on the other hand, is very much more fun.

Worst: Neustrashimy. It is me possibly but it feels weak in every department except detection, which in this meta is a meh advantage.

I'd say my best is JB, but I don't now why, almost everygame I play and I'm in a team with like 45WR against 55+ and divisions.

I used to have close to 60WR with it and a very good PR, avg damage nearly 100k, but I don't know why, the last 30 games were absolulety horrible. Like 25% WR.

I don't know if it's me, RNG, or whatever.

 

 I can't say I regret buying a coal ship.

I have JB, Aigle, Moskva, Sherman, Anshan, Yubari. I had GK before PReussen, so I have it. I also bought Flint when she was on sale for steel.

 

I used to love Flint, pre captain rework and pre MM rework. it used to be great...but now, in the current meta with so many torps, radar, hydro it's hard.

It also faces a lot of T9 games, and you have some nasty DD gunboat without the citadel penalty.

 

If I had to buy again all the coal ships I have, I would probably not buy the Flint.

Best:  Neustra, for me she is a super comfy t9dd. Second place would be smol, even with its nerfs. 

Worst: isn't really one, at least I don't regret any coal purchase I did. If I had to pick one it would be Salem. Not that she is bad, but I ended up playing her way way less than expected. Leg Mod DM simply has more utility...

I bought 5 or 6 ships with coal: Błyskawica, Georgia, Napoli, Duke of York and Laso (the latter 2 only to avoid them as drops out of my KOTS T7 ship crate), Dunno where I got my Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya, could also be coal of some T5 community token's crate.

It's hard to tell which purchase is the baddest and which is the best, I guess that "baddest" among those I play(ed) in Randoms may be a triple tie between Błyskawica (got her too early in my career, didn't work too well, relegated to Co-op ribbons duty), Napoli (I ain't a cruiser guy) and Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya. Best may be the Georgia, but if pressed to choose between my Iowa and Georgia, I'd take the former.

Baddest among the ships that I actually own and drive or drove and that are or were available for coal: easy the Großer Kurfürst. This swimming brick doesn't suit me, waaaaay too aleatoric shooting patterns (I do not want to wash targets in spray, I want to hit them) while being a much too large target for everything. Its secondaries don't sell me the vessel. It cost me FXP, not coal, as I got it when the tech tree line of the Germans was renovated.

Best coal ship owned... that could be Gallant (it was a SC drop for me) or Anshan (IIRC some shipyard or mission reward).

Best? there are so many. Marceau and Salem probably top it.

 

Worst? Don't tend to buy those that aren't good in some way so I don't regret any of my coal purchases

Great: Thunderer, Smolensk, Marceau, Georgia (used to be), Massachusetts, Alaska, Cossack, Mainz

Worst: Yoshino, Sherman,

No I think it was a way of speaking, I'm not native speaker either, but clearly the right word is 'worst' :)

 

Anshan is great, I got it too (not for coal...Steam sales...) and it is a really fun little DD.

In operations it's a citadel ribbons machine ;) Plus the 100% Free XP camo is pretty nice too.
