Considering you nerfed the dragon signals to blue boosters recently cxp by 50% fxp by 66% 25% bonus to random operation is not very good it's a bit like saying operations were not that popular when in fact weegee didn't want them to be popular and done everything to try and make them not popular leaving out the facts you totally  butchered them over last couple of years removing some and nerfing income of the remaining ones i would rather have operation of the day.

Please fix Narai, its an absolutely joke of an operation now that players can just storm to the back and torpedo everything. Where is the challenge.

The challenge is to do it before your teammates. :Smile_trollface:

I know you're joking here. But it's kinda also a valid point.

I see BBs (usually Nagato or Colorado) camping either outside the base or at the back of it, typically in the heal zone of the transport, in almost every Narai match.

They're typically on full health, have done very little to absorb the incoming fire from the defending bots (thus putting the transports at more risk) and because they have not pushed forward they are firing on bow on targets and also appear to do not much damage at all.

Meanwhile the Weimar, Fiji, Atlanta & Chumphon have got stuck into the thick of the fight, taken the risk of being shot at (in something really fragile) but reaped the rewards of damaging and sinking stuff.

Which is the primary objective of the mission.

So it's no surprise those BBs score at the bottom and the CLs are at the top.

On the one hand I want the bugs to be fixed and the scenarios restored to approximate their original challenge; on the other hand I remember what happened last time Ops were removed to be fixed. So I'm keeping quiet.

Btw, for anyone who hasn't seen them yet the weekly recurring combat missions are:

  • 350 Tokens for getting 5,000 base XP
  • 400 Tokens for getting 15,000 base XP
  • 550 Tokens for getting 50,000 base XP

pff that last 550 is a bit steep. Even good scenario current runs ( Narai, Weimar/Scharnhorst runs with a passive team) getting consistent 2000+ BXP runs is unlikely. Especially with an influx of less experienced players increasing potential losing of scenarios.

As a "solo"-player I must say that I don't like this at all.

As it is now I have no way to know what operation I will play. No way of picking a ship suitable for that operation. It's a lottery and as such I'd rather not participate at all.

From my point of view, it would be better to have two "Op-of-the-week" where you can choose which one to play. Yes, you can always form a Division and pick an op but since I don't have that kind of network and prefer to "go solo" then that won't work either.

Thanks a lot WG, the randomness of this is more than I can take and I won't play ops as long as this is the only way. Too bad, some ops were good fun.

So, so true. I am also a solo player and find that the new Ops are a total waste. I dont want to play in a Division. I dont like playing in a Division. And I wholeheartedly resent being forced into a Division in order to play. Why force players into a Division?  Why?  Makes no sense to me at all.  I guess I wont be playing any Operations unless this is changed.

I for one would like to thank the developer for their effort to keep this game mode alive.
Yes they did not do the perfect job and please everyone but at least they are putting an effort.
It should be appreciated instead of slamming them with endless barrage of criticism and not a single positive word.

To all of you that are incapable of anything other than negative feedback, shame on you.
To the devs that read this, ignore the drama queens...there are a lot of folks who like what you do, it is just human nature to notice and scream about the negative while taking the positive for granted.
Thank you for all your hard work and for making the lives of so many people more enjoyable.

I am not happy, as tier 6 ships are way too soft when up against tier 7/8. To do well in operations, a key goal is to stay afloat. Tier 6 just don't inflict enough damage on the higher tier ships and I can see them vanishing from operations as sitting spamming a BB with HE for 10 minutes is pretty tedious.

I also prefer to pick my ships for a given operation, Just now, I ended up with North Carolina in Defence of Newport Naval Station with predictable

results for something that needs an ocean to turn in. A Weser up against tier 8 ships with heavy AA was another predictable waste of time, although it did sink a DD with secondary fire !

Weser is another Tier 6 ship I will not bother with.

What is good? Not having Defence of Newport for a week and getting rid of the wait 30 minutes or pay 70000 credits to play straight away in operations with the same ship.

Community tokens are better than long collected stars as a reward.

You are right - they do a great job - and i have played operations many many times and really enjoyed it.

I think that decisions like 'random operations', is made on a much higher organizational level than the very skilled developers and the graphics people - it must be management decisions, probably marketing decision.

And i don't think that feed-back in this form is slamming or bashing ...... :cap_like:

This might get better, but right now it is bad.

I have tried 7-8 random operations and the situation is the same every time - people don't know which ship to take, so they play safe and take a BB.  Every time i enter the 'random-operations-queue' there is like 52 BB's - 1 CA/CL - 0 DD.

In some of the scenarios there is a 'crap-load' of DD's and the team need desperately CA/CL's to fight them - BB's are easy prey for the DD's, head on in, dodge a salvo each 30 sec. and then launch the full load into the BB broadside.

And of course, most people pick tier 8 ships - i tried a few times to take a tier 6, just to try, but all other ships were tier 8.

As i suggested earlier, make queue's for the different scenatios - or as someone else suggested, let the scenarios/map rotate like every 6'th hour, pr. day or something like that.

For short - dont like new operations.

1. Impossibility of choice operation for solo player - bad.

2. Night operation too dark.

It's easier for me - to go on a suicidal attack and go in other operations, is broking my eyes in THAT night operation instead...

3. The difference in 2 tier of ship too much.

Thanks for reading.

I see no point in doing the Operations other than grabing the SC . The rewards are very low.... even on a good game its like 1500 bxp, so it is not good to farm fxp or cpt xp. And you need a really niche CL to have a shot at doing it , so its not even good to grind past the crap boats. Playing a DD is not viable in this mode eighter, bots are just too accurate and too many they will grind you down over time.

I will spam the Mainz for the 15.000 bxp a week just to get the SC and im done.

From my pov, as a mainly solo player, I see this change as (another...) decisive step from wows to effectively kill the Ops - something they try to do for many years .

This change is obvious, intended to reduce even more the pool of players who enjoyed Ops. Awful move, wows devs ! Regrettable and stupid.

Everything you need to understand about Wargaming's attitude to Operations is summarised here:

To make Operations more accessible we are going to remove Operation of the Week, completely randomise which Operation you'll play, and upscale the opposition, for the same nerfed economic rewards as before.

And if you like playing Operations in a Division and want to choose the Operation you play we will additionally nerf your rewards by 20%.

So you face a random Operation and have to play only a capable Tier 8 ship, which makes it less accessible than before. You'll then receive an average of fewer rewards then before (because of either the built-in nerf to picking or your new failure rate with randoms), leading to less popularity than before.
