Also back in my mind is some old info that Midway will be when open beta will arrive. Also backchannel suggest that 4.0 will have unified accounts so why bother for closed beta? Also before we were talking about changes in 0.4 as planned for the patch 0.3.2, change in a number must mean something. [TTP] Popov Beta Tester 119 posts 12,509 battles Report post #15 Posted June 19, 2015 It always seemed likely that 4.x would be the open beta client as 3.x was the closed beta client (assume 1.x and 2.x were pre alpha and alpha) As for the state of the game at open beta release, well remember beta is beta so bugs and balance issues go hand in hand with any form of beta so that is totally expected. Personally I will welcome our new open beta overlord as it will mean no more wipes (I hope) so I will be even more eager to test/play the game which is a win/win for me and Wargaming. Patch 4.0 isn't even out, and It took so far 5 patches after 3.1 to fix bugs It is not a stretch to imagine that this patch could be the release patch for the start of open beta, it has revealed 20 player levels are available, added a bunch of consumables and overhauled captain skills, and added a high tier Jap premium ship. It was good back when arties were at most tier 9 putting tier 10 mediums destroyers and arties made the game less fun. Oh the good old times.
