The problem I had wading through the article was the all new icons being used to explain it.  It would have been helpful to have provided a key to the new symbols to help us comprehend as we read through it.

On one hand I'm fairly relaxed about this change. The only time I use economic signals and camos is when leveling ships once they leave early access. Since I usually do not use full sets now, I'll probably break down the top tier bonuses anyway. My credit farming is based solely on T9 premiums and as long they don't lower the baseline for those (assuming the reduced service cost for premium and special ships will remain), I probably won't notice a change. The amount of rust buckets in my games will probably increase by a lot since camos have no real use anymore. I know I will receive a large sum of credits on Thursday by selling all my expendable camos after the conversion.

On the other hand this change does not bode well for the future when it comes to reward camos. The new British event is a prime example of what is to come. In case you didn't notice already, they are splitting the visual and the economic bonuses for the T8 and not even offering a camo for the T7. Doing the math according to this post by Ahskance:

The list of sequential bundles that was missing in the official post yesterday:

Zitat

1. Tier 4 Queen Mary w/ Port Slot and 3-point Commander for 70 British Tokens

2. Tier 5 Tiger w/ Port Slot and 3-point Commander for 130 British Tokens

3. Tier 6 Renown w/ Port Slot and 6-point Commander for 200 British Tokens

4. Tier 7 Rooke w/ Port Slot, 6-point Commander, and Commemorative Flag for 250 British Tokens

5. Perma-Visual for Tier 8 Hawke for 250 British Tokens

6. Permanent Economic Bonus ("Bonus Package") for Tier 8 Hawke for 250 British Tokens

That is a total of 1150 tokens. You get 1010 tokens for free, this time including those for community tokens. Those tokens will get you the first five bundles. If you want the economic bonuses for the T8 which used to be included for nearly all previous early access events, you need additional 140 tokens.

Currently according to the post it looks like the only way to get more tokens is to buy random bundles for 1000 doubloons each. All bundles, except those with Duncan, Collinwood and the economic bonuses for Duncan and St. Vincent, will include 35 tokens which means that you will have to pay 4000 doubloons in order to get the T8 economic bonuses. :Smile_trollface:

Disclaimer: According to Ahskance it may be subject to change but given WGs track record ...

Maybe i'm missing something here, but how are "Zulu Hotel" converted into 50% Commander XP bonus and "Wyvern" into 50% credit bonus? There is neither a 50% bonus for CXP, nor a 50% credit bonus in the new system.

I would like to post the following for a time when WG try to monetize.

Goals of the New Changes

In the process of making changes to the in-game economy, we committed to an important principle: Our players won't lose their earnings overall, and in certain cases, they will earn even more. We pursued several goals:

  • Offer an option to select economic bonuses and visual elements (camouflages) separately.
  • Provide an easier way to manage economic bonuses.
  • Enable a user-friendly transition from the old system to the new one.
  • Maintain the current state of the in-game economy, i.e., prices and earnings.

We have improved the interface, bonus management, Inventory display, and much more.

NOTE THE FINAL BULLET POINT.  THERE ARE NO TIMEBANDED PROMISES OR CAVEATS.  THE IN-GAME ECONOMY WIL, NOTCHANGE.

THIS  WILL TURN OUT TO BE A LIE IN THE FUTURE.

During the conversion process, we aim to provide the player with more large bonuses, but it may decrease the total number on your account compared to the number of signals and camouflages. If you want to use smaller bonuses more often than larger ones, in a few game updates, you will be able to to exchange them in the Inventory.

Wouldn't  be better and logical to let us convert from small to large in the first place? I don't want to use my big bonuses. How long we will wait ...7 more years?

THis is a lie already. 12/24 dublons for a normal economic signal, and just oneee, what if you want to mount 2??? Every sinlge game is gonna be represented in money. So if 2500 dublons is around 10 euros, you can play 50 games for 10 euros? GG Wg, well played, if you want to kill the game just turn of the server, dont try to squize out more money

Are the new economic bonuses gonna drop from daily containers like they are now? Cause if they don't, its gonna be a very angry/sad gamers community over here

Economic Bonus Tokens

Service cost reduction bonuses from expendable camouflages and signals have been replaced by Economic Bonus Tokens.
They can be exchanged in a special section of the Armory for other bonuses until the release of Update 0.11.8.
Level 1 bonuses (for example, +20% to Credits) will cost 3 Tokens; level 2 bonuses—6 Tokens; level 3 bonuses—24 Tokens.

What are these tokens???
Are they permanent or are they consumed when used?????
Are the tokens used to buy different bonus instead of having service cost reduction in any form???

You get tokens for any flags you have lying around with -% service cost, if I remember correctly.
Since that no longer exists, you can spend those (temporary) tokens on buffs of your choice.

Wargamming have innate talent of producing new articles which bore you to death within the first few sentences and leave you just not caring enough to read more.  I may be cynical, but I do not believe WG would do anything unless it made them more money regardless of the customer base.  I would not be surprised if we are worse off after this and will never spend real money on camos and bonuses etc so this does not change that.

I cannot help feeling there are plenty of issues which could be sorted before any change like this.

A stupid  question stuck in my mind all day: If camos and flags are providing no bonuses, what exactly do I need them for? Eye candy? Nah, can't even remember the last time I was 6 y.o. ...

At least flags and camos were something directly related to ships. Economic bonuses - never saw one in RL, what do they look like? Do you mount them forward, aft or midship?

If the goal was to improve performance and ingame economy ( i.e. player's interest ), it was easily achievable through modifying the values already in place. More messing with the codes, new system to bother us with, blahblahblah... simple logic suggests there's another goal here, definitely not my fun or positive balance.

for me all this are [edited],also i have to mention some camos or flags we have spend money for their bonuses or spend several hours to won thoose thrue deferend missions as a reward for our efforts
but WG not carre couse is to greedy and cares only for money not also for the happines of her player base....

WHEN THE CHANGES applied probably we goin to see a lot of people quiting the game.....

Well, camos will be only an aesthetic characteristic of the ships. So I hope it will be possibile to adapt this aesthetic characteristic to everyone's taste.

I cannot stand several cartoon/clownish/fantasy permanent camos . Some of them can actually be filtered and appear as normal "combat" camos, but for other camos it is not possible. For example, the ugly "6 years of World of Warhips" camo for Lyon, Yorck etc. cannot be filtered in no way, you cannot get rid of those blue streaks.

With the new 11.6 version, it will be possible to filter ALL the camos to make them appear normal "combat" camos?

Edited by Federix02
Just launched the game...now I understand. You want me to pay 2000 gold for a regular Lyon or Yorck camo. 2000 gold Lul!! Well, I know that there will be whales which will do it. Not me, in no case. No reason to spend money for a camo that gives no bonus.

Why do I get the feeling we are being SHAFTED with this 0.11.6 update?

Especially for players who have played for at least 18-24 months or more and found no real issues with SIGNALS in the pre 0.11.6 update.

Why are you trying to fix something which was never broken to start with?

Have you removed the -4% shell dispersion from cammo's.

Why are we now having to purchase bonuses which we have already purchased / earned.

It strikes of some accountant's move of desperation, I cannot believe this passed "GO" so to speak on the test server.

They dont try to fix it. They change it in order to squeeze more money out of us. Like Jingles said. Wargaming would never change something if dont get more money out of this. This change is purely to optimize the money they can earn by scaming us. They question is now. How hard are they gonna scam us and us the fun this game offers to maximize their win and how much are we gonna suffer for that.

charging up to 90,000 credits for a camo that does nothing makes me wonder if they could be having  problems rendering 24 different camos in a match  on there old gas powered servers. LOL

In tanks you can rent a camo for 100 battles for 750k credits and those give a %improvement to concealment, so yeah, 90k for a single battle with no perks is just nuts.

I hope it will be possible to sell all this useless junk and keep the only few that really make sense. And I also have bad feelings about this whole change. I'm afraid that keeping the same exp/credits earnings will require spending more money

More dubloons.

If you want the extra income, then yes. Today is the last day the camos are sold with extra economic bonuses.

This is a FRAUD worthy to be solved in Courts and I will explain why.

When I bought Yamato's Premium camo with 5000 Doyblons i did it with REAL MONEY that end up to WG's pockets. I bought a PRODUCT with spresific advandages with a  fixed price.

It was a two patries deal. Now one party -the one that recieved my money - brakes that contract without giving me my money back.

The same aply to the two Prepmium ships I bought with REAL MONEY KII and Vanguard. I payed with real money to have tier 8 ships premium with spesific advandages.

Again it was a two parties deal that one party now brakes.

I demand THE REMOVAL FROM MY ACCOUNT TO Yamato's premium camo , the removal of KII and Vanguard AS LONG AS WG RETURNS to my Bank account the total ammount of my money.

Another fraud has to do with resources.

WG told us that we can buy premium (All steel) camos for tier 10 ships and I spent 20000 Steel to buy two of them. Will this resource be back to me ?

Otherwise its an other FRAUD and I am aware of the gravity of the word FRAUD because I asked my Lawyer.

The main goal under WG's desision is to force players to buy Doublons with real money even to repair their ships because of less income.

This is not a "Free to play" Game and I remind to WG that the Spanish Parliament is about to pass a Law against online games that offer packs of spesific material under the Gumble way...

I guess that WG would not like to see other Countries to follow Spain's example!

I still hope this is still only part 1 of 2. And that the second one will be the liberty to decorate your ship how you want.

I really would like the possibly to make your own skins in the game itself.
