Well only 400 lines to read, explaining how it will work,......

and  just 18 scemes to understand.

and click on 6 different screens to make changes in those settings.

 

I gues this new system will work out fine.................................................

The new system is much more simple than the current one.

 

The only complicated part is the one-time conversion of our stockpiled camos and signals into the new system.

Messy and hard to digest. We'll see how it works on not works. 

While I'm not totally against the separate economic bonuses (still not sure why we really needed this as no one asked for and the old system worked just fine) I am strongly against to remove combat bonuses from camos. That (whether the 3% xtra concealment or the 4% dispersion) should be the purpose of all camouflages. From now on there is absolutely no point to get and put any camo schemes on our ships. We playing ships(!!) not canaries or clowns after all.

RIP Camos...

You mean , even more simple then slapping on a camo, and a few flags?

Well weegee you did it AGAIN - ruined one of your games. Wonder why it was on PTS, you had already decided to force it into the game just like all the other things ruining the fun.

Everytime you say something like "we listen to the players" the comunity laught their asbehind off, because they know Y O U   D O N' T.

Time to move on, finding another game, maybe going back to Silent Hunter!

I mean, that is exactly the point. Most of the "camos", we have right now, have nothig to do with an actual camouflage. It is more like of a sailing circuss these days. But you have little way to avoid it, if you dont want to loose on economy bonuses. Camos that look like an actual camouflage and give good economy bonuses are way too few. The moment this comes online. Im selling all the circuss "camos" and will keep only those, that look like an actual camouflage.

 

On the other hand. While this is a good change IMO. Im still concerned, that we will see more monetization of economy bonuses. While the free stuff, we get, will be mostly (un)estetic. WG doesnt do such a large changes without trying make profit of it.

wait and see this is just the start you will be credit poor. the words "in most cases" and "overall" will mean less. But there are bundles for you to purchase at 12 and 24 dubs a time and you can put these on auto buy if you feel inclined .What will be next gold ammo perhaps or slowly over time lower the credit earning potential . Yes WG are a company that has to make a profit but it always feels like the old song from scrooge  that goes    "gonna pick a pocket or two boys gonna pick a pocket or two"

There's nothing wrong with camos.  I think of it as being part of World of Warships - an arcade game, not a simulator - and adds to the character and fun of the game.  Admittedly some of the camos are a little brash but so what?

charging up to 90,000 credits for a camo that does nothing makes me wonder if they could be having  problems rendering 24 different camos in a match  on there old gas powered servers. LOL

I hope it will be possible to sell all this useless junk and keep the only few that really make sense. And I also have bad feelings about this whole change. I'm afraid that keeping the same exp/credits earnings will require spending more money.

It is personal preference really. I guess what you call "little brash" I call disgusting and also an insult to the most sofisticated tools of war of their time. Arcade or not, I still want my warship to look like a warship and not some kind of sea Hot rod. If i did that, I was loosing in economy. Now Im not going to. If you like the current setup. you can carry on. We will all have more options and that is a positive part.

Seems to me to be another money grab, they mention 'Doubloons' an awful lot in these posts, and yes it is really confusing (deliberately I feel in order to hide the real changes). :(

For those who may missed it because it was posted on the Development Blog only (as far as I know): There is an Economic Bonus Calculator you may check to see which and how many of the new bonusses you will get for your signals and camos. For a test I've bought some camos in the Armory, and the inventory at this page plus the bonusses were updated accordingly, so it's up-to-date and you do not have to do all calculations via spreadsheet analysis yourself. :fish_book:
