Oldest clans

Our GOT clan is about 5 years and 7 months old, our commander started GOT 2046 days ago, thursday November 17th, 2016.

Back from the early beginning World of warships started. 

We have good member coverage 47 out of 50 and we even have a second clan, GOT2.

Our clan is layback, like most we play casually. 

 

How old is your #clan? 

 

And to the World of Warship team; 

Would it not be nice to receive a nice reward for clans to celebrate each year of existence?

I'd suggest WoWS finally allow Clan players to fly a 'Clan Flag' in its own dedicated clan flag slot.

Did you know WG has a registry of all the Clan Flags from all four main Servers (EU, NA, Asia & CIS) at some website in St.Petersburg? I'm not sure why they won't allow these flags in the game.

Furthermore, WoWS has over 400 flags that have been awarded, earned, or otherwise designed and in the game.

It's not like they can't offer a dedicated Clan Flag Slot. It's more like they (WG) simply refuse to do so (yet a clan emblem was OK & NP for WoT & what was that other one? ... oh, ya, WoWP.

Issue will be that it probably needs monitoring.

I had to rename my WOW's because of AdolfHitter was not allowed. :D

Yes, one of the few things that we are still missing, and it's hard to see any technical reason preventing them from doing this. If they can do it in WoT, surely it can be done in WoWS as well.

 

As for the clan age... where do you even see that?

I agree. if in WoT, WoWS should be also no issue. So strange that this option is not yet available.

 

Clan age; we took the numbers of participation in the clanlist. So basically if a clan founder is leaves you can not final any detail on the age of the clan anymore..

I would recommend to WoWS to do something with this information. Clans are about group participation so information about clan-age gives also more body to the game. So you can be a high performance clan,  and you also can be a older mature clan that exist from the start of the game.

Technically doable but probably very low on the priority list. The monitoring could be done by establishing a date interval (e.g. from last game version to hit the server until end of the month) when changes could be submitted and approved, and distribution by inclusion in the following update. Compared to the whole game, a few extra megabytes don't seem that much, it's not like the on-line Red Baron II/3D competitive scene from the change of millennium and their compressed files full of customized fancy colour schemes that were as large (for the day) as the game itself.

Yes, it should be possible. Of course. regarding your comment on the prioritylist, I dunno. I don't work @ Lesta Studio. maybe someone of the engineerteam could tell. But I also like to see some program that supports clans lifespan.

Because some clans would probably make a clan flag that is a big cahoona, or some finger. 

Mostly, WeeGee would have to deal with the complaints from all kinds of snowflakes taking offence at all kinds of stuff.

Well.. WoT supposedly inspects every clan emblem before they get ok'd. A similar procedure should work in WoWS as well.

Agree. this implementation should not be rocket science. Of course you always have people who will upload weird stuff what will be banned.

If you check the site out it has all the WoWS clan emblems that Commanders designed & submitted - I doubt there's even one there that is unacceptable to WG rules - and there's hundreds there.

The site is 'wows.mv-smirnov.org'. Hence, this is a little known official WG  website (check the icon). It has every clan emblem submitted - hundreds of them & from the four main Servers.

Very inexplicable WG registers these Clan Flags then will not allow them in WoWS.

The images are small, however,  they all look like they follow WG rules so will not be offensive in any way.

Who knows why WG won't sell a dedicated Clan Flag Slot?  A missed (admittedly small revenue) stream. Tho, imo, WG could have charged a considerable doubloon fee for it.

Rather too late now as many Clans have probably quit WoWS. Perhaps, it was, originally, a player suggestion hence, imo, WG refused/refuses to implement it.

Only a hand full of original clans left now (2016). Like many games, they rise and fall. Some great clans that only a few people remember and those competitive clans that ruled the waves for years, only to fade overtime to dust.

 

 

Company Gamers (CG) technically started during the time of team battles, or whatever that used to be called before clans were even a thing back in 2015-2016 and we have remained one of the oldest active clans on the EU server. We have remained semi comp throughout with many players going on to join top clans. Many return. But we have always remained very active, and that is the key.

 

But it's nice to see simular active clans still knocking around like GURKA, AP ect..But there isn't many left for different reasons. And those that are, are a shadow of their former selfs.

 

But they should let you fly your clan flag after being checked.

 

Ps. Most left due to the bad state of the game, with CV rework, Broken Superships and graf subs.  It's the pits at the moment.

The Clan page (on in game) has Clan Members; if the original Clan Commander is still on the roster, his joining date should be the Clan registration date if I've understood it correctly. There is no date, but a running tally of the days the commander's been in.

GoT is an layback clan but dedicated to the game.

That's why we just announced to our clan members to be become more gameplay active particularly in clan battles and DIVs. Clan gameplay is all about connectedness and fun together. We are on discord (of course)  and have our whatsapp group for quick messaging. 

 

GoT stands for Gathering of Tweakers. The largest and oldest tech community of the Netherlands. So no Game of Thrones
