1 vs. 1 Brawl With Tier IX Ships

After having a lousy time in ranked with the Brest i think i finally found a use for it in Brawls.

 

 

It gets to a cap before any BB so you cap the caps and then ram.  If the German BB (always German) tries to torp them you can broadside them.  Just nuked a Rupert that way..  Either way you win on points against every BB with the ram unless you screw up riding out the torps.

 

Ran into 2 x DD in this run today, Fletcher died in 2 volleys and we both got the cap pretty well much within 2 seconds of each other,  With Hydro Reload and comfortable 9k volleys on DD''s they struggle.

 

Even got a Paulo, we both leeroyed, i got 2 volleys off he got one torp hit chasing my ship doing 40 knots, secondaries finished him off at 2km.  He just couldn't overtake me fast enough to get a broadside Torp run.

 

I think the Brest finally found its niche.

 

Is it fun?  not so sure no match has lasted longer than 4 mins.

 

Edit Add a Gold Star and 2400 xp player Mogador player who had to play completely defensive the whole game.

 

This thing Hunts very well
