Do NOT buy any of this, this is almost worse than Pay to rico! Even Chaosmachine has called WG out on this cashgrab

Article a day late lol

1. No ingame missions for tokens

2. RNG-fest getting tokens for dubloons

3. RNG-fest for decent bundle to spend tokens on

= no, thanks!

Sorry WG but whoever thought up this cash grab has had a little too much falling down water. Will not be participating in your little 'Ruckus', and strongly suspect I will not be alone!:etc_red_button:FAIL!

Y'know... the whole lottery would instantly become more interesting, if WG would send out another 5,000 Black Tokens if you buy 5,000 Dubloons coupon, but screws up and instead it's 5,0000 Gambling tokens... that'd be enough to buy all the 100 Token packs and a good chunk of the 30 token packs:Smile_trollface:

Let me do some math here:

Buying all 300 bundles to get all the tokens: 57k dubs.

57k dubs = about €180,-

This will give you 1362 tokens.

This allows you to buy 13 bundles for 100 tokens.

That is a less then 50% chance to get the T9 container.

The T9 container contains one of the following ships:  IX Z-44, IX Azuma, IX Groningen, IX Pommern, IX Ägir, or IX Marco Polo, with a Port slot and 10-skill-point Commander.

These ships cost €63,49 in the premium shop.

So with this event you can gamble €180,- to get a less then 50% chance to get a ship worth €63,49

:fish_book:

Yeah, make your own conclusions if you want to spend on this or not....

My choice was easily made.

eff the Tier IX container. I'd be more interested in Coal and Commander XP. Maybe FXP... 4.5 million Captain XP would allow me to get at least a few more 21s...

whcih is a rather damning picture at how much more XP you now need to get a captain to the efficiency level he used to be befor ehte skill rework, especially for a BB, what with the Superintendend and Adrenaline Rush changes/Price increase

Do I understand this right? First we gamble our gold on Storekeeper's packages. Then, if we are lucky, we gamble Depot Tokens on other random bundles... It's like we go to a casino, we gamble our cash at the door and if we are lucky we get tokens and are allowed to enter for the real game, if not - we go home with a candy... What will be the next step, WG?

Yes, I've forgotten. Of course the main prize is the container with random ship - third level of gambling...

Containers with Premium ships, Coal, and other valuable items in random bundles!

Read it on the portal

Wargambling breaking the Third Wall...

Now you need to Gamble on Random Bundles to get Token. To then Gamble with those Tokens on Random Packages to possibly Gamble on a Random Ship Container.....

This gambling fiesta that preys on people's FOMO and is aimed at both whales and people that are susceptible to gambling addiction is exceptionally egregious behaviour from WG.

I think it's disgusting.

And this just shows that we urgently need EU Laws to ban this type of predatory monetesation by greedy corporations.

Wait-
Did WG really just nerf the already extremely rare T9 Ship Container for this event?

When they gave T9 Container for returning players, it included rare ships:

These are two different containers (Premium Ship IX container vs. Premium Ship IX special container), similar to regular and premium containers from other events.

But the regular Tier 9 container has been kind of nerfed, since now it's credits compensation instead of doubloons.

Just report it to your national authority controlling gambling. Lets see how WG's karma goes down after found out selling gambling for minors and without a licence.

Just did that.

Do you honestly think any authority will care if they don't even care about EA's "surprise mechanics" in FIFA?

In Belgium they have banned all chance based ingame purchases. So yes, if there is enough reporting it will happen.
