And there is "WoWs Ship Builder" as stand-alone program as well:

Shiptool is probably the easiest to use.

While not as easy to use as some of the other options mentioned above, there is also https://jcw780.github.io/wows_ballistics/

 

It also allows you to modify the stats and see the 'what ifs' but requires you to a bit more knowledgeable about how exactly these graphs and values are created.

There is no RNG for AP penetration. Besides, knowledge of "these guns won't pen this armor at this distance" will come in handy, so you'd aim higher even for overpens or look for other target.

as said - my head is not a trash bin to memorize some penetration tables and rng determines where your shells hit or miss

But you have rough idea of "DD gun can't pen cruiser, while CL can't pen BB"?

No need to memorize values.

After some battles you know which guns work vs what target.

These pages allow you to evaluate the capabilities of guns in relation to guns you already know, which shortens the number of battles to get "a feel" for the guns.

Was easy to use.  If AP performance is important then you'll, clearly, see which nation to play and which premiums to buy for best AP performance.

 

Think I'll go away and re-spec my Yamato as an anti-sub/C.V./DD platform with buffed AA, secondaries and fire chance
