Coal was about 100M.

I had almost 150M and bet it all, and now I have 49.9M :Smile_coin:

I wanted the flag too, estimated it around 15 mill, but seems it was a much wanted item.

It looks like the flag went for 40mil. That is double the price of the Nelson flag.

As predicted here, people are bidding large amounts to get it. Pushing the price up.

40kk for a flag that no one can see except you in the port. Congrats to the winners.

I had 161 210 360 Credits returned for the Captain so won him for 41 289 640 credits.

I had 102 500 000 Credits returned for the Coal, so won it for 100 000 000  credits.

I get the flag and coal bids with people having a pile of credits just sitting there, but 40k dubs, roughly £120 for a T9 ship!?

What am I missing here? Thats 2 x AAA titles

Did they actually go quietly from 1st price auction to 2nd price auction?

I totally did not notice that. Nice, at least that is a fair auction design.

on the other hand people may do higher bets (than with the previous system) because of this

There is this small text underneath, but that's it. Or did they announce it in a more noticable fashion? At least I did not notice there was anything different and still bid under the expectation of a 1st price auction.

The bids are even surprisingly high, considering the currently available T11 ships already cost way more than 400M altogether.

there was a 'new rules' popup in the armory when you entered the auction the first time. It is also explained in the news article, and 'new rules' is even listed on the overview tile:

You must be very naive to think that. WG knows that now with the rule in place people will overbid in order to get the auction item.
