Azure Lane content bundling & limited coupon

I had hoped to be able to pick up a few commanders, but the bundles on offer are making it a tough choice. I quite dislike the way things are done here, and the coupon is almost useless.

 

- You can't use the coupon on any discounted items, which is pretty much half of it. You can't even buy the bundle with 6 containers with a coupon (which would've been cheaper than the current -16% discount...)

- The only bundle with commanders is the one that includes them all, which is a bit too much of a price tag for me. 

- Then there's bundles combined with ships, with most of the doubloons costs being because of the ship. (And I'm only interested in the commander)

- You can buy one container with the coupon. That's all. And obviously that's random loot boxes with the chance of getting doubles...

 

I had hoped there would be a few bundles with only commanders, without any RNG being involved. Probably a bit more expensive then random lootboxes, but at least you'd know what you're getting... 

 

I might end up buying 1 lootbox with the 35% coupon, but I'd have spent more doubloons if there were more options to buy commanders without RNG and without any other stuff I don't want (such a ships and camos).

And bundles for the previous commanders. 

 

That was what I hoped for and why I saved some doubloons. Now I'm unsure if I'd even buy a single container. I only have two Azur Lane commanders so far, so the chance to get a double is small, but it's still a chance...

Only thing I would get if possible, would be Yukikaze commander. If it's not available as a single purchase, not as random lootbox or bundle, I'm keeping my wallet shut.

While random mechanics for premium ships have had some improvements with WG stating that ships will also be available via other methods that don't involve RNG, it's a shame the same doesn't apply to commanders and camos. 

 

Although technically you can buy the entire bundle with all commanders, but that's a bit too much for me. A lower budget option without RNG would've been appreciated.

Yeah, I wish they would've split the commanders per wave like 1,2,3 etc... But putting all 4 waves into one bundle is just way too much and too expensive... same with the camos.

Also I don't understand why the wave 4 camos are being sold separately while the new commanders are also only available in the big wave 4 bundle for 83€ or in the 100€ Bundle. Why isn't there a wave 4 commander only bundle available?

The Coupon is nice if you are getting one of the single ships, for everything else its useless unless you really only want like 1 of the new camos.

 

I was prepared to spent a lot of money but now I feel too disappointed to spend any :( I really wanted the some new commanders and missing a few of the old ones. Maybe even get the AL Azuma Ship. But with a 8€ price tag I don't feel like gambling with the loot containers for the commanders. That's just too expensive especially since you can get duplicates. I wouldn't mind getting all the new commanders if they were in a bundle without the camos. Just sad... was really looking forward to it..

Tried my luck getting a single container and ofc it was a duplicate :D I mean I don't know what I was expecting..

If only the most expensive All-in-One bundle would at least be a good deal... but it's loosing a lot of value with every commander we already may have. 

With ship/camo bundles we get doubloons back for what we own. But there's like 0 reasons for having duplicate commanders, as the voice-over can be turned on in the options for any ship after obtaining the first.

I have the other IJN DDs mostly incl. Harekaze in version 1.

I just find WGs obsession with bundles tiresome, I totally get why it makes sense for them and I’m sure it’s way more profitable than selling individual commanders. Still it just puts me off entirely.

Yep. Avrora, Littorio and Azuma are just straight up clones. Not bad if you want a premium weeb version.

 

Rossija is also unique, cause she has american bb dispersion. But keep in mind she's a t9 bb. T10 double subs and superships make her pretty unattractive now.

Well, I was also looking at getting Roma at some point, and now with the 35% discount (in stead of the 25% coupon we get every 6 months), this one also appeals... Decisions decisions lol

Well, the camos together cost nearly 3000 doubloons more than if you bought equivalent regular camouflages for every ship on that list... Carrot, stick, you know the drill.

Plus you will miss out on the tier X snowflakes/SC's either. Tier 9 got well and truly shafted by this, it's almost like being in a tier 7 ship facing the tier 9's. I just wonder, if you got a tier 9 which is going to happen more often, playing +2 or -2 tiers....

Roma + the Kobayashi camo. You'll never run out of pasta sauce ever again.

My only complain is doublon captain, didn't want another Hood for that prize. :/
