Hi all,

 

How many ships lines you still have to grind (new and neglected / forgotten ones)?

 

 

I managed to reduce it to 8 (plus upcoming French Cruiser split line):

 

 

 

In December 2021 I had 11:

 

 

 

and in December 2020 I had 18:

 

 

 

The only constant are CVs... I simply can't force myself to play them (except in CoOp)...

I am using MOD "Carousel extended" and most excellent MOD by @OlliN "Ships Win Rate & XP to next ship" - that way I can see at glance how much more XP I need to advance to next ship!

All CVs are fairly neglected and at T4 except British T6 (which was a freebie) and not started on the Russian ones.

 

Kinda had the PA DDs on hold until they got the TRB buff

Dutch cruisers are heading for the neglected category too.

I can't even bring myself to do them in co-op.

Now that I've had my recent FreeXP blowout, I could skip to Ryūjō and spam scenarios in it.

I have plenty, but all at tier 8 at least - apart from italian DDs, where I will get Tarigo today (I have enough XP on Aviere). When I started to play I wanted to get as fast as possible to high tiers, most notably Akizuki. How did it end up is a common story, I was deeply red stat wise and clueless gameplay wise. After this initial hype I decided to progress horizontal way - so not to progress any higher unless majority of lines are at the same level. Works for me now, I have so many tier 8s to grind I don't have to worry about superships atm :)

unfinished lines :

• CVs (I'm not playing CVs, neglected ships for me...) - RN and USN T10 missing, Rus, Jap and Ger I finished in Tier 6.... (so T8 a T10 are missing)
• Italian DDs - T10 is in process of grinding...

- all other lines finished and all tree ships in the port (full equipped, with captains), but my bank is empty, only 9 M of silver remained (year ago I had almost 600 000 000 of silver :D )

 

PS: It should be noted that thanks to the implementation of submarines in the game and in general due to the behavior of WG, I limited my playing to 10 percent of what I played a year ago ... and I am seriously considering quitting after 6 years :(

All of them done as well as RB ships and coal ones. The steel ships - only the Austin is missing from my port. 

 

Edit : I also don't have Mecklenburg. Though I'm not interested with that one.

I got to the Caracciolo and gave up.

 

Also got to Eendracht and gave up (cursed ship)

 

Still grinding (i use the word loosely) past the Zieten, FDG, Tashkent, Chumphon and GJ Maerker.

 

Oh and of course i am not grinding any CV.

 

Or subs.

 

I got way behind after taking a long break, and T10 is not very enjoyable for me these days.

My to do list:

 

Pan Asia cruiser: T8 Harbin, fully researched but just 30K progress.

ITA T7 DD.: Remaining 10K xp needed before unlocking T8.

UK, SOV and JPN T8 CV: all modules unlocked but just 50-90k xp from the 355k xp needed to T10. Like the 2 other finished CV’s a huge future FXP  sink

 

T9 JPN destroyer Yugumo. 100/ 240k FXP progress

 

Plus The 3 monthly RB reset ( FXP only) of the Haragume line.

 

Then I have the following T9’ researched but not bought: IKEA dd, SOV Hybrid DD, Ger BC.

 

Rest is in port except 6 researched T10 due to silver shortage. ( Ger CV, UK CA, ITA CA, RUS CA, FRA DD, PA DD) The T11 are financial out of reach and on lower priority.

 

My FXP income is higher then the periodic RB reset so I often FXP ships that really bother me or atleast buy the T9 modules ( witch can go up to 100K for a T9 ship)

Technically missing Kansas->Vermont line, UK CA, Pan Asian cruisers and destroyers past tier 7, Italian BBs and now DDs, Weedland cruisers, German BCs and second DD branch as well Russian/Ger carriers.

 

Do I have interest in getting them? No.

In my personal forum i explained what one needs.

In short you need 2 lines of favourite ship types.

Example: i love subs and CVs but DDs are fine too.

This is what i need to grind:

 

1. I need to have all T6-T10 EU dds ready to be used (6 ships in total) and the same from a Japanese DD line (6 ships). Why 2? Because if one of them died in the golden battle then you take the second one.

2. American and brittish CVs. No need for additional CVs. That is 3+3=6 ships if my calculus is correct.

3. If one day they add subs to the Tech tree then get 2 lines fully available.

4. No need for other ships types.

 

The difficulty is to find which ship lines you like most. For the golden league Halland and Haru are fine for me, and the 2 CVs as well. It takes some time to understand which lines suit you. Therefore sometimes people grind and test little bit more lines. I almost never touch anymore cruisers or BBs and i know which DD types i like.

So, i have points 1 and 2 done and i don't grind anything else. But for the upper rank gold league you may want a Research Berau or a Steel/Coal ship. But no need. But you may take 1 such ship because otherwise the gold league takes too long time.

So it’s:

- Dutch cruisers at T9 with 100k xp left to get t10 (should get completed this weekend)

- PanAsian cruisers at T7 (might freeXP)

- Italian destroyers at T7

In total I have 25 grinds left, mostly DDs. All lines are on T7, some are at T9 already. For the non-DDs are all at T8 or just missing the T10.

 

 

I usually take my time with grinds and only play a handful of ships in randoms. Most grinds I did in OPs up to T7, convoy and ranked, yet I often ranked out quicker than I wanted, which is why I welcome the changes for a full T8/T9 season.

IX taskent cause Khaba got removed

IX Fat Freddy cause GK got removed from line.

Pan Asian CLs: Sejong.

 

German BCs: Zieten.

 

Soviet CVs: Serov, and hardly made any progress because I find the whole line...unethical.

 

The rest are either in port or being regrinded.
