How much did PR required us to fork out in the first place? Let’s say the ones that did buy 2 or even 3 boosters? I remember spending 24k ( don’t know if that’s the 2 or 3 booster pack).

Add the required doubloons to finish the upcoming dockyard for PR v2.0. I predict this will be around 8 K doubloons. So with about 33k doubloon reward I get ingame currency back. Most I paid for with real money 3 years ago. Still ( depending on reward plus the grind level) an ok deal since I ( probably) will have the required doubloons due to ingame events to get the PR v.2.0.

So 33k doubloons is not that generous.

Again, it may be generous or not, this is a wishful thinking. I don't think WG has in mind to compensate whom they milked, including me, three years ago in the first place. Their aim is to sell PR for the second time, to newer players.

The amount of whichever resource is in the bundle will be enough to obtain any Tier X ship currently available for purchase.

According to the above sentence what i understand is, they will give enough type of resource to obtain any T10 ship available at the moment.

Below are the most expensive available ships atm;

- Steel: FDR 33K Steel

- Neustrashimy 296K Coal

- Any T9 ship in the armory under Doubloons tab, 19.300dubs

- Resource ships, can't see them right now, but i remember they were 50-60ish K research points.

Edit: okay, checked the armory now. The most expensive steel ship FDR is 33K. Still i doubt they would give out 33K dubs since the most expensive doubloon ship is 19.300. I wish they would...

i belive arp yamato was the most expensive and was atleast 28-33k dubs

Maybe but it doesn't make any difference because WG's sentence concerns the ships available at the moment.

" The amount of whichever resource is in the bundle will be enough to obtain any Tier X ship currently available for purchase."

I’d be surprised if anyone choose anything but steel for compensation.

Frankly, it'd be really stupid of me to spend real money on the same ship second time just to obtain certain amount of in-game resources (and even if they give 100K steel back). That's simply unjustifiable. It's a pass from me.

i mean if you want a steel ship this and want to buy steel this is probably gonna be the best offer you ever will get!

dont look at it like your building puerto again look at it like your building fdr or stalingrad.

Question I have for WG, many plays including myself, started the Pay2Ripoff grind until the calculations came in and it became obvious that it almost impossible to complete for a normal player and the classic WG screwup and fallout from it.

So how about you looking at your stats from that period and give some stages back to those players free and in return, you get a little respect back from the player base ?

As i said, in my case, i have all the steel ships, rb ships, i have more than 300K coal for a couple of t9 coal ships (which i'm not interested in) in case i want to get one, have all fxp ships, etc. But even if i were missing steel or other resource ships, i still wouldn't buy the same thing twice with real money. It's illogical.

I actually grinded out the Puerto Rico Free to Play no money spent. it was over 186hrs of pure grind hell. each session ranging from 8hrs-22 hrs. 60 gallons of coffee and soda, 24 microwave burritos, about 10 bags of popcorn/chips, 10oz of jerky, 36 fish sticks, 240 pizza roles, 4 double whopper meals, 4 number 5 at taco bell(US menu), 3 pizza from Papa John's(its literally 2 blocks from my house). I also missed 6 holiday parties, 2 dinners, and 2 weeks after completing the grind I threw my back out.

I'm not going to lie I was proud of completing this grind. It was a grind designed to give the false illusion that anyone could get the ship, only to make the experience so daunting and exhausting that most would simply pony up the cash rather then endure the whole ordeal. To me it was a giant middle finger to the greed of WG. Now that its coming around again but this time less difficult I feel a bit ambivalent. The ship is not great, Compared to the 2 other Super cruisers at t10(305-310mm) its places third in shell speed and penetration(Soviet bias winning hands down by huge margins here.) Still it can be a fun ship that can put a lot of pain on target and works pretty good as an ambush predator looking for cruisers that like to dash in fire a salvo or two and retreat away back into stealth(IJN bread and butter). While fun I did put  in a ton of work to get the ship and now that it is coming back I feel a bit strange about it. Probably because there are not many ships I can get with the resources being offered that I want, so trying to pick which resource I should possible taking so that when a new ship I want comes out is a bit tricky.

My friends and me did this also only without the fastfood :) But it was a grind i will never do anymore.

Irony. The amount I spent on fast/junk food during the grind could have bought one out right. :D
