And yet another buff to Grozovoi... Seems like its time to get him:cap_yes:

Torpedo range buff on Grozo makes about as much sense as buffing DM secondary range. It is technically a buff, but very difficult to capitalize on, especially as launching fishes past 8km is already bordering on divination.

You can reset a line or two, and get enough research points to buy it in the armory :

thats the point. You need to play on mid-tier ships for a ton of battles to get mod for other ship, compared to playing this ship to get mod for it

But does the cost of 19200 RB points then put the Des Moines in line with the Annapolis?

I sold my DM and have Halsey on my Annapolis now which is the only US CA I play. Its just so much better then most of the cruisers in the game. With range mod you can start wrecking BBs before they leave their spawn pretty much.

I was just thinking I would reset the line, pick up the Annapolis and essentially have my Des Moines 2.0 and just come back whenever and redo the line for the RB points.

Yes, but it's far from impossible, just long, and free.

EDIT.

Personnaly, i don't grind for Legendary Modules.

A good player in a DM, with or without LM, will beat any bad player in Annapolis, so i don't care

Yes you are right but my thinking is why really bother with the Des Moines when you can have a better Des Moines that will only cost you creds you probably have laying around anyway and you can save your RB points for a RB ship.

Imagine pulling a Notser and using IFHE on 203mm guns.

Or in the words of LWM:

Might get a bit more useful with the introduction of british battlecruisers but ofc still a bad choice.

HE shells of Gouden Leeuw, Johan de Witt, Henry and Napoli, aswell as 152 SAP will be able to pen now. All heavy cruisers (and german 128mm and 150mm) with IFHE can now pen too.

Napoli benefits the most of this nerf.

Yeah well, IFHE on CA's is not my idea of efficient play. So just the heaviest of cruiser guns are benefitting from this change. HIV you see once in a blue moon and Napoli was strong already, although not as toxic as Shitro.

I'll take it, I guess. I wonder how many nerfs for Shitro that makes now and it's still one of the best Tier 10 ships

There are still plenty of morons on this forum who spout that nonsense.

Cytat

Added a warning icon when aiming a sonar ping in a direction that intercepts with an island, similar to the one used for main battery guns.

Who else expects that, when there will be undetected ship between island and sub, icon will disappear? :cap_hmm:

Release stuff, promote and advertise it, let people buy it, grind it, then nerf it and introduce new broken cr*p. Rinse and repeat. WG business model.

so you suggest we should let ships that are (far) over/underperforming stay unnerfed/buffed and just let them run it's course?

Well, the sonic waves emitted from the surface ships (from the hydro consumable) pass the islands freely, so it just seems weird that in the wows physics the same sonic waves emitted from submarines (pings) do not :cap_hmm:

(end of sarcasm)

I suggest you don't release unhistorical, overpowered nonsense like the Chkalov only to nerf it after enough people have bought it and griefed other players with it.

Must be the same Phased Secondary Technology that allows them to pass through mountainous islands if you are spotted.

So do I get a bit of compensation for the Chkalov now not being what I paid for?

Thats may be the reason. The gap between Annapolis and DM was not that big compared to other supers.

This balance changes kinda hurts me as both Chkalov and DM main.

And yet another buff to Grozovoi... Seems like its time to get him:cap_yes:

Just got the Grozovoi so I’m happy

Pretty much all good changes, ngl:

  • PA DDs can use some love, especially the YY
  • I'm going to enjoy finally being able to melt those Petros who think they can just sidescrape and own the place
  • nerfs to Chkalov and superCVs are welcome
  • Grozo's buff is weird, but I won't object to it.

If you really extract this statement from my words you might want to take a dyslexia test. I said it is part of WG's business model to release broken cr*p, nerf it and then introduce even more broken cr*p. Maybe it would be a good idea to not release broken cr*p in the first place. But we all know balancing is none of WG's competences.

Nah - this is why they started putting 'may be nerfed' labels on new premiums (Flandre onwards, I think)...

I am happy for all of these except my Des Moines. WG hands off please. She has to contend with so much overmatch and constant spotting by CV and Subs now

Imagine if car dealerships started doing that on their cars? They decide the car you bought goes too fast so they show up and program the onboard computer to only allow your top speed to be 100 kph.
