Hey! I got this Email the other day, while I was considering returning to the game, I downloaded it again and popped on, but I have not gotten any of the promised promotions from the email, how soo ?
No special mission for 15 wins or instant tier 5 ship :(


When I click the "get gifts" all it does is opens the launcher, restarted several times nothing there, just wondering if I got catfished ? cause, sad pog

That's a very good question. We debated this daily, for the last two years and we are still not capable to reach a definitive conclusion There is very strong circumstantial evidence for the latter, tho  we can't be sure. Some say that Wedgie actively hate his players and the game and wants to end it, but the game is kept alive by the dedication of the player base. So....

 

 

p.s. I didn;t wanted to be a wise azz, its just... me ;)

You no wise [edited], you just telling it how it is/looks like. WG already proved that even with the amount of shameful disregard and people dishonering things they have done, people still happily play their game and spend all their money on new pixelships. They have the monopoly on this type of Warship game and have put down a very enjoyable base gameplay routine. If you want to play this kind of game, then you have to play this game. And most people, just like in the rest of their lives, rather give in to their needs than to keep their foot steady and say "F you, I am done with this sh@t!" no matter how much they take it in the black hole.

 

And WG looooooves to have so many b*tches that just come back for more. "Yes, he hits me, makes me feel like trash, doesn't take my wishes in account, denegrates me in front of my friends, takes all my money, forces and uses me whenever HE want, but hey, the s** is good." I mean, the number of timrs WG has had to apologize because of taking the community for granted and the amount of times WG should have apologized.

 

And that is all we ever get: an apology, an meaningless piece of text with empty words that neither hits the core of the problem, sets up a plan for how to do better and after it nothing happens, apart from another (pair of) event(s) which need apology letters, which then come from community managers instead of the people that made the mistakes.

 

And from this post and that of @Verblonde's it seems WG tries to get more of its b*tches back, which you can see as WG directly scr*ws them over by denying them the promised items, which were too good to be true. This will probably result in a useless apology after which everyone happily starts up the game again. 

 

Well, if WoWs and their community is one thing, it is a nice example of how even in this day and age people don't care about being taken advantage of over and over by a corporation, a government or person that can give them something pleasurable and rewarding and they keep coming back no matter how they are treated.

 

Ah, well, shall we do another match? Ah, that is true, I don't have the game installed :)

@_MoUa_ I'm pretty sure it does that when the offer has expired. For example you can only claim your birthday gift for an X amount of time after your birthday. After that it just does what you just described.

If WG is sending out expired offers then it's a bait-and-switch. This can be reported to a national oversight office, most often a Chamber of Commerce.

Well, then the OP should check when he received the offer. If he waited several days, sure. But if he received an offer the same day as he clicked on the link, then it's shady as hell.

Hehehe, I agree. But it is so super clear with this dev as they can't go 1 month without doing something that upsets the community, and I am taking in account that most gaming communities like to complain a lot. But most of the time it is complaining on a lvl like it used to be here, the BBabies and the OP ships like the Kamikazes and Kleber etc or the camping at T10. But the things happening here now are heavy balance issues and this company bluntly doing everything to shake down their playerbase for money at every turn.

I opened mine around 6 hours after getting it and didn't get it. so it is WG [edited]people over again

They got you to download and install the game, and find that you need to spend doubloons to fix your auto-reskilled captains.

 

They make money, and they don't care if you uninstall again.

 

Either way, if eventually they make this a return to actually rewarding returning players, then all the more reasons to uninstall now before the dumpster fire gets even worse, and return in a few months or a year when they will be desperate to players to return because the CVs and subs don't have enough targets to shoot or kill. When I returned after 2 years they offered nothing so why should I stay?

Done more than 15 games so far, even purchased a Tier 11 or special ship and did some games, which was fun, but still no instant tier 5 ship or 200% reward, no mission chain or anything ...

Erm... I hate to be that guy but.... this thread is literally people who have uninstalled the game talking about how WG have gone out of their way to try to tempt them into reinstalling by offering them in an email goodies that don't materialise.

 

The only reason the people you are addressing can uninstal, as per your instruction, is because they were tricked into reinstalling in the first place.

 

I'm guessing that you haven't been inactive long enough to even have received one of these emails so, as far as I can tell, you don't even have a dog in this race so I have to wonder why you even entered this discussion in the first place.

Well, I logged on today, and the rewards was there, so I guess theres a 2-3 day lag on rewards I guess :)
