What ships you play lately?

I just looked into my own history, and found out that out of the 138 ships in my port i used a total of 5 in  the last 100 days. Do you guys play many ships or just rotate a few ships?

 

The ships i played:

Alaska

Smolensk

Musashi

Agir

JB

 

..not even a single tech tree ship

I switch ships often. I play some ships for weeks, then start to use some others for some weeks and so on. 

 

But I love the IJN BB's and gun DD's. Especially Amagi, Shikishima and Kitakaze. 

 

Amagi is the most beautiful and overall best ship in the game for me.

Lots of Preussen, a few Hannover games, Elbing, United States, Hornet

 

I usually have a few ships I rotate around at any one time, as above, and I play a lot of those specific ones for a time. 

And a few others, one game here, one there

I used to like the Amagi too before WG spammed out those FXP and Coal T9s, but i havent played T8 for quite some time. T9 was short of a sweet spot in MM for me ... but this Super ship spam might get me to re-visit T8

Hm that is an understandable perspective. Subs are also a reason why my selection of ships narrowed down so much:

 

Since subs are here i droped:

German and Russian BBs

DDs, all of them

And probably i will drop the rest of the BBs too if it stays that way

 

Probably i will stick to kiting HE spamming cruisers, as with subs around moving up is a suacide... maybe i will take my Henry IV or Nevsky out for a ride.  The kiting cruisers doesnt seem to be troubled by SS as i see sofar.

I love killing T9 ships in Amagi. So many think they are save and then get wrecked by her. 

 

Even some T10 ships if the other player makes a mistake.

:D Yeah T10 has some really horrible players playing around, when i see a Yamato or GK all i see is a floating free kill.

 

But going up against ships like the Ohio in a T8 .... thats not something i enjoy :P

They successfully ruin what's left of smart gameplay, at least in half the battles you see them.

 

I'm currently grinding a couple of ships more actively, Riga and FDG. Hate both of them, so I'm not exactly having 'fun'. Then I play a selection based on my mood or the requirements of the Naval Battle over those weekends that I have pre-qualified.

When I can I play all my grind ships. When I just do a couple of battles, I play my Kii mostly; grinding credits.

I started grinding a few newer ship lines too( ITA BB, new KM BCs, EU DD) ... but i hardly enjoyed it ... so i ditched them all.

 

WG promised that the cpt rework will " bring more playstyle to the game" ... but i feel like that the tactical possibilities just got brutally narrowed down in the past years.

Played a lot of Wiemar & Scharnhorst when Narai was last week's op to finish off levelling up my Gunther Lutjens.

Then Atago & Yamato to finish off levelling up Isoroko Yamamoto.

I tend to start off with a tech tree ship to get the 500 XP mission reward, currently the T8 Pan-Asian DD, Hsienyang.

Then run down my favourites with the 50% first win of the day bonus, so DesMo, Mino, Plym, Napoli, Alaska, Georgia, Monty, Gearing, Harugamo, GK, Preussen,

Maybe with some T7s to assist in levelling up their commanders next to Narai is up, so Fiji, Scharn, Weimar.

When the coffee has soaked in I'll do some ops so currently Leander, Nurnburg, Dido, Repulse.

I've got 167 ships now and there's some days I never get round to playing some of the good ones.

I mostly play Roma and occasionally grind Italian battleships. Might buy Littorio soon to have a back up Roma in case I get sent back to dock early in one.

I think you feel correct. While it gives the appearance of having more options to choose from, most of the options only suit specific ships or playstyles, IMO. The ship specific builds also removed the option to make 'interesting' builds.

I've been playing Preussen a bit more lately.

My only gripe with her is her tiny gun barrels...For such a massive chonky ship those barrels look like they belong on a freaking cruiser, i wish WG made them a bit larger.

Same here, haven't touched a "normal/silver" ship in years. "Welcome to World of OP/Broken crap! ! ! What's you credit card number...?"

Missouri (mainly for the credits)

Smolensk

 

Contemplating becoming a sub-main.

 

95 % of my ships in port I haven't touched in years, why should I?!

Currently grinding for Minotaur but thinking about going Daring. I'm not a main CV but been playing a good bit of Hornet. When in the mood I fly up in ranked with my Z-39. Other than that I just play whatever grabs at me.

Nevsky with  range build in randoms,  supplemented by whatever is the requirement for naval battle. Neptune, Ibuki and Petro for ranked. And the usual suspects for scenarios....
