Return back to CV glitch.

This has happened to me three times now and the first two times I thought maybe I just hit "F" by mistake but the third time I had my hand away from the keyboard. When my planes were in the air I would just suddenly be back at the CV like you would when you hit "F" without hitting anything.

 

Anyone else notice this? Seems to only happen when I play the Hornet.

Weren’t you telling me earlier that CVs were terrible for the game and now you are complaining about them not working properly and spent money to buy one?

No never happend to me in 4k+ CV games. Also maybe taking your hands off the keyboard while flying through flak kills your planes and that automatically brings you back to the hull

Mmmm yes I think CV's are terrible but I still play them from time to time.

No because had you played the Hornet and would know that the planes are slow and you have time to take your hands away while you wait to get to any target.

I´ve never seen anything like that. If it is a bug, report to WG.

Yes please provide a replay, you can find the replays in your wows game directory in the "replays" folder. Just drag the file into the text window which you use to type here

No it doesn't show how the bug happens as it would just look like I hit "F" to abandon my planes and go back to the CV.

I think we can assume that either your keyboard (or at least the F key) is dying or that you're fatfingering it.

Did the planes return to the carrier?

 

If not it's possible you hit a lag spike that resulted in your planes (on the server side) flying into flak and being shot down but due to the lag it didn't display this on screen.

 

Thus the sudden yeeting back to the Carrier hull.

I was in the B-25's which has a long cooldown so when I ended up back at the CV it acted as if they were used up so the clock was ticking down as usual. 

 

They planes hadn't even reached the a target yet and those big planes are really slow unless that was a long lag spike.
