You can get a t10 ship with around 200K while another t10 ship costs around 60K RB points. If you get 200K with 20K RB it would make a T10 ship three times cheaper. Could you pls sell the captains you put up for auction in the armory? Also, could you pls sell coal directly in the armory? Cause i want the former and i need the later, but hell freezes over before i do a bid for any item. P.S. Could you also read up how auctions work? You start LOW and than it gets eventually higher. So I can say WG is not doing it wrong. The various auction types currently in existence, and some historical ones that went out of style, are a fascinating subject. To start, look into the Lloyds auction by the candle. What WG is running in WoWS, is a sealed bid auction with a reserve price. How many people have all the coal ships + all the coal commanders? And even then: would you rather have 200k (or higher, whatever the bid might be) coal to instant buy the next coal ship or 20k RP? It seems to be targeted for people who have bought everything with coal and have more then 500k coal left and think "Yeah, I can spare 200k or 300k coal". Even if they were those people will still most likely hold on to that coal because a new ship might come soon, and 20k RP can be earned easily by those players with a simple reset. Well it costs credits anyway you might say? Yes , but I consider these auctions a lot for players with lots of lines that probably rseets anyway so take your favourite DD line that you anyway would reset and do 2 extra if you have lots of FreeXP. I think that might be some limiting factor for those who count tradeoffs between the resources and I think that FreeXP is also easiest to come by. I have over 9 M FreeXP at the moment so I would never pay 200 K Coal. It is another thing if they would have offered 20.000 steel for RB points that would have been interesting and a small 5.000 steel for coal. So do some homework before bidding. I have a ton of coal but even a ship I don’t want like Marco Polo is better than one third of a RB ship. especcially as I have all RB ships but Vampire and 65,000 research points waiting for sevatapol.
