It would be logical, because

a) There are so many bad players that 7 reports for "plays poorly" barely cover your own team for a single game.

b) Besides CV, we now have submarines and superships to report.

Oh whatever will those 18 reported players do?!?! They are doomed!!!! :Smile_sceptic:

There can be 10000 daily reports, it's pointless, cos karma system does nothing besides make you "feel good".

it is usualy related to the amount of your Karma. If you have high enough karma your reports/compliments increase

Im glad its not just me, I actually queried it in case it was a bug, although I am not complaining 22 coms/reports is always useful.

Yes it did increase. I think mine got to 19, or 20.

This should cover reports for one or two games more.

I did run out of compliments a few times, so this is nice in a way. Feels good to compliments people, so more compliments to give is good.

My policy (when I don't have missions I actively want to complete, anyway) lately has been to play until I run out of reports for submarines (in Randoms); I wonder if enough people have been doing something similar that increasing the number of reports increases the number of players actually playing..?

That would be hilarious if it were the case...

Being more constructive, it'll be nice to have more compliments available; when submarines aren't in play, I usually run out of compliments long before I run out of reports.

Does Wargaming make any announcement about this?

I don't understand this step. For 5 years karma was a residual of some abandoned idea of feedback to better identify bot programs, griefers and chat abuse.

It has become increasingly obsolete with the automated detection of profanities, afk-players and bots and with the removal of team damage.

If anything I was expecting the announcement some day that karma would be removed since it no longer servers a legit purpose.

So, dear Wargaming, what legit purpose of this feature do you plan for the future? Why have the compliments/reports doubled? Please clarify.

We can have and 1000 of them, but what is the point if there are no (significant) results from them.

It likely serves as tool for players to blow off steam. If they feel like they can report more and because of it it somehow calms them WG achieves the objective of making players who report others happier that they had a way (even if it does nothing which they probably dont understand) to get back at that player for whatever reason they deemed fit to report them.

So overall karma itself serves no purpose. It's just a made up and meaningless system for some while others deem it important enough. Fact is it does nothing so it doesn't really matter unless it for some made up reason it matters to you or others

i got a nice -1 from a Yoshino that was beatch slapped at close range by an Incomparable, i was to blame apparently for not pushing against 2 enemy dds alone, i was then publicly called out constantly by the player for it, i actually found  it hilarious.... especially after his ship magically ceased existing :Smile_popcorn:

This might all be true. But it does not explain why all of a sudden there is double the amount of reports/compliments.

This is not an accident, but a deliberate step. Wargaming actively decided to double them. To change a feature that has been seen as an artifact of early development.

Yet, while they are making that massive change, they sneak it into the game, without giving any notice in the news section or explaining that step. I find that puzzling.

Its to give the players who are currently complaining ingame chat about submarines to release their anger more often via reports

"ive done something now i feel better".............BS times 10 :Smile-_tongue:. Actually when someone has played good and you drop a short "im impressed by your gameglay last game with ship xyz" has much more impact on player behavor than spaming negative (or positive without context for the matter) reports.

Yes for this reason I tend to compliment mostly and stopped reporting. I notice how I get a bit happier every time I see how my karma increased so I like to give that little happiness myself to people I think did well. It makes everyone feel better about their performance

You know what sad is about this playerbase? If you tell someone, in a polite way, that they mispositioned and they are useless for the team where they are, you get instantly a report. But when i have back-to-back-to-back games like this in Ranked, nothing. No compliment, no thanks for carrying their useless arses, nothing … :Smile_sad:

Spoiler

My 2 most recent back-to-back Ranked games. I have games like this frequently in Ranked.
