What role is a sub supposed to cover that we dont already have with the dd? 

 

Now as it is its like an invisible dd who cant be sunk at all and must be evaded at all cost

I have now played 15 or so battles with various submarines and I was wondering why dive time is depleting when at periscope depth. In real life, as far as I know, subs often have a snorkel in combination with their periscope. This is so they can remain on diesel power while submerged. Was this change made intentionally?

Sorry but the subs are awful for everyone in the game. It's not even that they're hard to play against, which they often are, it's more that they still use that stupid ping mechanic. Ping Ping Ping Ping Ping Ping, over and over and over. What WG is doing is making the game unenjoyable for everyone but the sub players in the teams. Ping Ping Ping Ping Ping. They can't be balanced. Just accept it and remove them from the game.

Of course, you had fun. Pinging someone 20 times over and over and then torping them is great fun if you're the one doing it. Being on the receiving end of that incessant pinging is not only irritating to start with, it then becomes a miserable experience. Ask anyone who isn't playing subs if they find that enjoyable.

Cmon man have you tryed to hunt a submarine? I tryed in any nation of dd or cruisers and is like you need to ignore the actual game to hunt a submarine ignore all enemy ships turn broadside risking get spotted when you dont want and finally the subs run away (because underwater a submarine is lie F1 car) and you die . frustrating experience . That;s the reason anyone dont batter hunt them. And ofc now they take less dmg to kill a submarine with main guns or bombs will take like forever.

I wonder if Wargaming has read the room yet and realized that most people didn't want this? I assume they have and don't care because they have never cared to begin with. I don't know why they waste their time with surveys if they never listen.

I'm really bothered by the aircraft carriers and not by the submarines in the game, but in real life I love both types.
