[THESO] ReportSandoor94 [THESO] Players 42 posts 7,277 battles Report post #1 Posted March 2, 2022 Aint about time to rework this toxic feature? Most repotrs i get are not about me being toxic or my div mates being toxic. Its usually about people getting killed or people that just dont like eachother and only report you when they can see you have karma on your account.(wows monitor). After the report is done they get the following message "Thank you for helping to improve the community". When unicums meet unicums in battle it usually ends in them reporting eachother just because they can due to this worn out and obsolete karma system. (and no im not a unicim myself but i see what happens to my clan and div mates after a battle) One thing that might help is disabling cross teamchat in order to maintain some peace and calm in this weird time we live in. Any idea's and thoughts on this subject? Dikke! 4 3

The devs specifically stated this in the live stream for 11.0.0 All the Karma system does is give or take away meaningless points. That is all.

All Wedgie cares about is how much money it can sucker out of the players.

[R7S] lovelacebeer Players 4,158 posts 25,226 battles Report post #7 Posted March 2, 2022 Karma serves as a vent so all the people who object to when you shoot back at them can report you for playing badly or being unsporting. As a result it won’t really change because WG don’t want the hassle of dealing with loads of support tickets for abusive chat messages. I honestly wouldn’t let it bother you, it’s frankly amusing that people play a war game but really want a duck hunting simulator, where the targets don’t shoot back and they get angry if you outplay them.
[MOYAI] Gorthuba Players 76 posts 10,429 battles Report post #8 Posted March 2, 2022 I take great pleasure in being reported. Nothing is sweeter than reaping the tears of your reee'ing enemies as you dodge every shell that they fire at you and farm them down. If they report you it's just confirmation that yeah, you really triggered them. It's usually pretty easy to tell who it is that reported you too.

That's even more useless as it can be totally negated by flags, which makes it a stupid credit sink if you don't get the flags for free. But then WG don't care about things in game that don't work properly, they rather focus on what makes them money: new premiums.

Yes This game "feature" has been debated like once every 2 weeks for the last 5 years WG have ignored all feedback and imo rightly so because it is a useless feature Perhaps dumping this rubbish "feature"/ cleaning up their code may improve performance of the port
[PRS] The_Pillager Beta Tester 2,526 posts 15,601 battles Report post #12 Posted March 2, 2022 Abandon all hope ... This feature is and was hated in Worldoftanks ever since I play this game (35000 battles now in 10 years) and its still implemented there. So this not going to change in WoWs anytime in future. Sorry to say.
Senaika Players 77 posts 8,495 battles Report post #13 Posted March 2, 2022 I guess it's just a way for WG to increase the frustration level. You play like a unicorn and had fun, nah!, you get back to the port to see you lost 2 karma.

No, it's doing its job perfectly. It's a way for angry players to express their anger in a way other than being toxic in chat. The alternative isn't no toxicity: it's some more manifest form of toxicity.

[TWWLA] XDukenukemX Players 142 posts 9,423 battles Report post #16 Posted March 2, 2022 The Karma system works like this Play DD - Karma increases Play DD badly - Karma stays Play CV - Karma goes down even at unicum play Play BB - Karma never changes If you od something awesome and hard carry entire team you can expect 0-3 points, when you play CV you can expect 1-3 points loss (making hardcarry in CV "points-neutral"). The system is just to vent when your team sucides into enemy in ranked... and seems to be designed that way.

Your just as likely to get reported as complimented for playing well in any ship type. Personally I find my karma is most volatile when I play DD going down pretty steeply if I have a exceedingly good game.

Well, appart from doing 250k+ dmg, getting flamed by the enemy team in Allchat (this usually gets your own team to complement you) or solocarring the game, spotting is realy appreciated, like just at the start of the game spot the weak flank so that your ships know what they have against them and can turn early/take deffensive positions without getting devstriked, Bomb out pesky Crusers at strong Iland positions where they are hard to kill (Haku Divebombers are great for this), Bonus points for Torping enemy DDs. Dropping fighters on friendly DDs also gived alot of Karma.
[GJE] dommo77 Players 939 posts 11,373 battles Report post #22 Posted March 2, 2022 My highest point in karma was 20 something, I started losing it when I had particularly good streak of games, to the point when I had only 4 left. Then I had a mega game - hard carry type, won it by a thread and... Lost all 4 😂 Best just not to pay attention to it.

Ban cross chat which would make the game less fun. Also, many of the lost Karma points will be from your own team mates who are angry you 'stole' their kill, moved to the wrong flank et cetera. It appears you are so sensitive to an irrelevant part of the game that you wish to spoil the enjoyment of tens of thousands of players like happened in WoT years ago. Either please stop playing or, alternatively, stop looking at the meaningless number next to your name. Thank you!

Maybe do some reading before responding next time.I really couldnt care less about the karma, but the ability for people to report because someone has karma on his account is just wrong and obsolete. And yea disabling crosschat works fine and less toxic behaviour is the result as we all could see in WOT. Maybe the toxic behaviour will move to the port after the game and thats something wich is easily reported.
