This steals gold that I paid for and that I did not agree to be used. I don't believe this has happened to me (at least not in recent memory); that said, I'm running 100% vanilla - not a mod in sight. What does happen to me though is that when I remove all signals from a ship (to play Coop, say), and then replace them for a 'proper' mode, the 'resupply using in-game currency' option is re-enabled by default if any of the signals have that option, assuming I also select the 'resupply automatically' option. Have complained and reported it many many times with "customer support" that WG provides, never ever have gotten any refund, not for free xp mishap, flags or whatever i missclicked when my game went broke in port. Always they blamed it on mod usage so now i indeed use modstation and their "no gold for anything" i.a.w. "stingy by default" option as mention before. That is also the reason i will never ever pay WG for any service ever again, great game and potential they just fail to provide humain support and information. If that would happen in a real store or online shop?? For example, you pick a shirt in a store, buy it and then when you look @ the receipt you also payed for something else you did not want.. Some people find that the game does not provide enough information by itself, and since WG provides a easy and simple "install, click what you want and need in game" modpack i.a.w. Modstation.
