Game freezes when accessing Inventory and News - anybody else?

So as title says - anybody else having game completely freeze today every second time one clicks on one of those items?

This is somehow related to the problem with client crashes. People have found a way around the problem with the armoury and other tabs in the game by restarting the game. I'm not sure if this still works.

Yeah.. kind of, I guess. Could't restart earlier, had to use resource gimmick to end process. Later on, restarted and it worked normally.

 

BTW, also experienced a critical error in battle yesterday...

I just use the browser version of the inventory, Armoury and clanbase. Cause it did crash 2 times now so I decided to use the safer option.

Yes was happening to me as well. Not as of late though. It was happening 2-3 days ago. Maybe it is fixed now. I noticed it mostly was happening if i had items to queue up on the right side of the screen WHILE opening the news. So if i would wait first so that all new flags/coal/credits to queue up first and THEN open the news it wouldn't happen, but when i was doing it AT THE SAME TIME while also had stuff appearing at the right side it would freeze. 

But i think it's fixed now, right?

Won't play this broken game anymore until those hapless dabblers have learned their trade.

As you describe and also for me when I go into the Armory.

 

Just like the server overloads I get something isn't quite right with the game.

If you alt-tab, you should see an error message window, you can select that and press enter, even if it doesn't display anything, and it'll end the WoWS process. This way you don't need to restart the entire PC.

- Click on Armorelie crashes game.

- Trying to re-enter battle after a disconnect crashes game.

- Contact list in port is spooky. Contacts get deleted. Contacts are shown offline which are indeed online. 

- Login times regularly exceed 1 minute.

I don't have a freeze per say, but what I have is weird - If I log in, the first time I go to the armoury from the port it gets stuck loading and I have a black screen. If I then press ESC and go back to the port on clicking Armoury again it loads fine. This behaviour is  completely repeatable

 

I've also noticed a lot more disk thrashing as well when the game is loading

 

It looks like switching panels e.g Port -> Armoury or Port -> Premium Shop is completely messed up

Last 3+ months i started to have longer and longer login times but after last update i got 2 times the delay of waiting a much much longer time but i was able to bypass it.

 

Open your task manager and find the inbuild web browser of the game (awesomium or something like that - im in office and i cant check it) , right click and end process then after that game will instantly login but dont open anything yet. Close game and restart the client and after that all will go smoothly - atleast that it did for me. I suspect the ingame web browser is maintain with vodka code

It doesn't work for me. WoWs always overrides the task manager and every other thing I open, so all I can do is shut down the computer.

Try to disable Hardware acceleration in game settings, also please consider changing to different screen and resolution options to any "windowed" one. For some it actually helped to solve this issue for now.

You can still select the error message and hit return to press terminate, even if the window doesn't show.

Yeah, all the access to Inventory, Armory, Dockyard (especially bad) etc is flaky as hell! Never loads first time but most often works after Esc and retry. It’s not down to PC or internet connection is all I can say.

I had this issue but updating graphics driver seems to have solved it.

I did this and it helped... for two days. Now the crashing is back. Clicking on any of the tabs under my username will crash my PC as long as I played at least one match during that session.

I still have an issue with the inventory.  It takes an incredible time to load, i can then go to 'modules' but none of them can be sold or allow you to click them, the game is frozen from that point onwards.  Has been happening since the last major patch.
