I examined my Port today to see what ship classes I have and what kinds of ships (premium, regular & special).

For me, I'm close to 100 ships which is plenty so I'm almost full. I'm saving a place for a few more tech tree ship reps of new lines as they appear.

I found I have just 2 real special ships (the Alpha & Beta ships), 26 premiums, 8 ARP clones & 60 regular tech tree line ships.

in this total, I have 18 'fantasy' ships (ships that were designs & were never actually built).

I found I have 31 BBs, 36 Cs & 31 DDs.

I used to play RTS CVs (& would dearly love to still be able to play them), however, I cannot, in good conscience, play the horrid wreak Farces that are the reworked CVs.

I will have the one T6 Ger Sub, the U-69, because that Sub is historically significant (&, ofc, WF blew that, already, by not including its far superior diving depth).

I have around 12 ships for each tier from 2 to 8. Plus a smattering of T1, T9 & T10. I prefer historical ships hence the relatively low number of fantasy models.

Examining my port I found too many unsolicited premium CVs that nature is taking back little by little thanks to corrosion also called rust...

I have 109 cruisers, 83 destroyers, 81 battleships and 8 carriers (snowflakes only)

 

There are 46 US ships, 45 German, 42 USSR, 38 Japanese, 28 French.

 

93 of the ships are Premium, including too many free ships from USSR.

 

Except for the lines that I am currently grinding, most of the tech tree ships quietly rust away in mothballs. The only non-premiums that still give enjoyment are some tier X ships, plus Mogami, Myoko, Nürnberg (Ops) & Budyonny (Ops)

I see i have aprox 300 ships..from witch i like to play  5-6 in  the couple of games i play daily...but i am  proud that i have 300?! wtf is wrong with me

I find more than 300 ships. I appreciate each and every one of them, although some more than others (Hello, Royal Navy!) A clan chat that is still active and a great bunch of boys and girls to play with. Many pretty camouflages and a myriad of flags, which are my pride and joy. Few things better than being sharply-dressed whilst terrorising the virtual oceans. This game has been in rough water for several years now and I hope to see it enter fair seas once again.

(Although I wonder how long I my hiatus will be once Warhammer III drops tomorrow...)

Examining my port I find I still have no control over which maps I want to play on, nor is there any way to proudly fly a clan banner.

I also see the old operations are still not back, and I have no shortage of ships especially I realize I can only play one at a time.

 

Too little something, too much something else, in other words.

It's the port of Rotterdam with its peaceful music and historic vistas (no sign of Jeff Bezos' massive yacht, although I will sink it if I see it). It is filled with 175 ships of various nations, but predominantly French, British, German and American. What's particularly notable is that there are only three Tier X ships in there (I find completing ships lines results in obtaining ships which are too expensive to play in PVE) and a lot of ship lines I am currently regrinding (IJN/KM/RN Cruisers). Probably more Tier VIs than anything else. Most popular? RN. Least popular? Netherlands (1).

I have to admit to looking thoughtfully in that direction too; assuming the review I read is right, the entire game costs about a third the price of 25 firepower (or whatever they're called) crates...

Examining my port I find a game that I quit two years ago, but am now back to playing at tier 6 and below, because it can be surprisingly fun when you're not dealing with all the bullcrap at T10.

I don't even really mind the +2MM as the T5s I'm playing are Kamikaze and Okhotnik, and the only T6 I'm currently playing is Ryuujou.

The reviews are accurate so far. Changes were made, not all for the best but most are, bugs will be there that might be fixed on launch, still overall looking to be a competent game. As one would expect of the few bastions of competent monetization (If you ignore the blood pack cut-out when there are literal blood fountains and nudity in the game already...)

A heart attack that i bought perma camo for each TX ship. A heart attack about buying premium time every month. A heart attack of all the doubloons purchased in 2 years. For a game I used to love.

 

Now turned to crap with ridiculous concepts and ideas.

Dread to think what the few CVs I have would look like.

Probably an oil slick.

I couldn't even bring myself to knock off the snowflake from HMS Furious.

 

But, back on topic.

i) Show the amount of elite commander XP on the top RHS, next to your credit/doubloon/free XP totals. Underneath that could be a link to a new Personnel Roster page.

ii) When a ship filter is in effect show the total ships as a ratio of those that match / total fleet size, ie next to cogs above the RHS of the carousel.

iii) Ship filter selection could be tri-state. First click -> green tick = show ships that match. Second click -> red cross = show ships that do not match. Third click -> clear filter

iv) Be nice if when you expanded the Artillery & Torpedo sections of a ships stat window that it would show the firing arcs. A bit like the armour view.

When examining my port, I am filled with immense melancholy, as the Arkansas Beta is one of the first ships I will see.

A ship that resembles better times. A token of a time long past. A memento of when I still enjoyed playing the game. A memory of pre-Sub_Octavian times. 

 

Ah, how I still care for this game and its wellbeing. But my god, how difficult WG has made it to love this game.

How I long for the state of the game from 4-5 years ago.

I will have to make a more accurate list as well, however, I agree with the fact that my CV's would make interesting oil slicks, did not even take them out for the snowflakes this year

Well I can not seem to make to num bers of ships in port tally to the actual numbers of ships, so I am probably miss counting somehwere  but here goes 

 

Port says 438 ships

 

My tallies say 128 destroyers including 39 premium ships, 164 cruisers including 73 premiums, 115 battleships including 51 premiums and 26 aircraft carriers including 9 premiums so probably missed or missed counted on destroyers and cruisers

Will have to run a spreadsheet again for exact information

...I have about 260 days of Premium time I never paid for. And by the time they run out, I'm probably going to get more from the Anniversary Event.

To think I almost bought a full year...
