Commanders!

Submarines return to testing after the break. See what’s changed since the last session.

 

For this next round of tests, we tried to address two main issues highlighted by the community: the difficulty for surface ships to detect and interact with submarines; and the inconsistent damage dealt by submarines themselves. As a result, we are hoping the interactions between subs and surface ships will become more intuitive and predictable for both sides.

Dealing damage to submarines:
  • Ships have either ship-mounted Depth Charges or the Depth Charge Airstrike armaments to combat submarines

 

 

ASW on Okhotnik & Dutch Cruisers when??

So long as subs can invisibly and thus in practice invincibly use a spotter to get in close and shotgun a spread of torpedoes into a helpless target, and so long as they are fast and steathly enough to basically be avoid to avoid DDs all damn game, subs cannot be balanced, and cannot be in any way enjoying to play against. 

 

 

And don't get me started on homing torpedoes and having them coupled to DCP.

Hm, looks like subs require more skill now and die easier.

But the no-ping-gameplay is still possible, that's interesting. (but nomore pinging just before the torps hit, so way less damage on the unguided torps)

 

Without different dive-altitutes - on half of the map you would be stuck on the sea-floor when diving. :fish_aqua:

 

I bet there will still be 35% matches were subs don't have any influence at all.

I think last generation subs were real fun but way too hard to play. Looks like they will be even more difficult now. To bad itc but we'll see. Looking forward to their return.

I can only hope that every Submarine player gets the fate from U1206, where missuse of a deepwater high-pressure toilet, did lead to its sinking. That I wish all submarine testers and players.

Okay Wargaming said that Subs statistic is miserable.... conclusion: Make Hydro spot subs on deepes depth :D how braindead can someone be...

I hope statistic of subs will decrease even more so they get in their head that if you want to push a statistic UP you need to do a ship better :D

Stop making mistakes.

Submarines must be playing another way. 

Submarine is a glass cannon.

One power shoot and  run away to reload.

1 Remove standard type of torp.

2 Leave only one homing torp.

3 Increase reload time 

Its all.

Is perhaps already known around which date submarines will become available again on the main server?

I really look forward to playing them and am hoping that they will be added on short notice!

Most likely 11.3 (so next patch in about a month), but no firm date yet from WG.

So how long will you try to "fix" the subs before you give up, like CV/AA rework?

Put them in a PvE mode instead of PvP mode, problem solved.

Don't want them in any PvE mode either

put them in their own mode if you insist in putting these garbage cans in game

@YabbaCoe can i have the missions for subs removed fom my combat missions please ?? Because i dont want to play them at all these missions

Unfortunately, this is not possible. 

In case you wouldn't like to play them, just filter them out once you will get them automatically after finishing those missions.
