I wonder if that BB has more or less air defense than a destroyer that is 5 times smaller with 20 times less guns ?

It has more air defence, but it is a much bigger and less manoeuvrable ship.

Just had 4 games, 3 Schlieffen and one Bismarck. One ended early, no cv's other three, I just got nuked by cv's. Not played in a cpl of months. Hoped things had changed.

 

Just destroys my fun and no doubt many others like me.

I think we need this two options...

 

1. To battle without CVs

2. CV only battle mode.

 

2 is even unnecessary because if they implement 1, anyone playing with a CV will end up in a CV only battle or stuck forever on the waiting screen, or play with bots.

 

Can you imagine a CV only battle :) That'd be super fun

It is not fun to play as a open water cruiser against 6 BBs either. Considering that BBs is so popular I wonder if a BB only mode a few time s a year would be viable?

Every National flag is a symbol of war crimes at some point in time. Getting offended at a flag is scraping barrel, especially in WW2 naval game.

Slight correction: That is the JMSDF flag, not the national flag. The IJN flag has a darker shade of red. But we can assume that a Japanese military flag is rather acceptable on a non-Asian forum about warships.

So why is in game on EU for IJN a standard japanese flag, not an historical IJN flag?

Because uniformity is important so that people from Asia can play on any version of WoWs that they like? Or do you think that countries like the PRC just let their citizens play on a game that uses such a symbol? The same reason why for the longest time, we did not have the Imperial Ensign for Germany: someone was opposed to it for long enough to not include it. The Nazi flag is banned by law in most countries in Europe or at least heavily frowned upon, so a stylised version has to be used for German ships.

I hate these woke arguments but to be fair if you had a Confederate battle flag as your avatar you would have it banned I agree with the poster above all flags how some form of shame in them they define nationalism.

 

For heavens sake how many died to Stalin and yet the Soviet flag flies above every soviet ship in the game its hypocrisy at its highest level. 

 

Let people fly whatever flags they want or ban the lot and have done with it.

Well only Korea started making noise about it after a Korean Footballer deflected his own racism with whatbouthism and since Korea have a stick up their behind about Japan that was enough to becoming a target. I get why they arent fond of Japan considering their history but at the same time ... how many generations have to pass until it becomes what it is, history.

 

Not China because Mao was fond of the ray design and it appears on party posters from his era and so, the design cannot be problematic. Of course dangerhair Twitter nobodies latch on anything but this doesnt have much traction, too busy reeeee about US politics I guess.

Oddly enough Taiwan doesnt seem to have a problem, I suspect its part because Taiwan was part of Japan from 1895-1945 and that history is very complicated so their views of Japan are different as well their relationship because they are kinda the closest allies they can have in case the mainland decides to take then back.

 

The Swastika is a different matter because its a modified symbol that is entirely within a specific timeframe with a specific regime, the Kyokujitsu-ki is much older (as in Tokugawa period old) and was first adopted as war flag by the Meiji government, yes its that old ... I am not fond of Iron Cross replacement since you already have the Very High IQ social media uses confusing the two, just proving that like Anime, Social Media was a mistake.
