I would expect high viscosity lava ʻaʻā . Hard to tell on a picture, but it doesn't look like fast running. [ARRSE] cracktrackflak Weekend Tester 947 posts Report post #9 Posted February 1, 2022 Wrong type of smoke for a volcano too. Volcano smoke/ash doesn't disperse, but forms a gigantic plume well up into the stratosphere - as seen in all real world footage. The stuff coming out of the WG volcano appears to be black steam - because it is vaporising and disappearing.

Creating a smoke column that is non-dispersing would require too many changes to be feasible.

It is true only in the case of Plinian eruption (e.g. Vesuvius in 79 AD) , but in the case of the Hawaiian eruption (I personally observed this type last autumn in Stromboli and Etna) it looks similarly as it is depicted in the game...

From the distance you can actually see the whole smoke column it is a 2D texture ... (hint it always faces the camera the same way no matter where you rotate the camera around the volcano). Your right ofcourse it's a nice feature and i am hardly a Geology major but have interest in Geology because of my archelogy interest you look at features very different. Never thought so many vulcano's are in the world and you never expect one when you just walk the landscape. Like the US everyone knows about Yellostone but does everyone know there are 2 more fields like yellow stone in the US? Italy everyone knows about Pompei but in the bay of Napels you have one much bigger and the amount of Vulcano's still active on the mainland is riddiculus.
