Now I specced her for range dakka and it works - poor concealment, but very fast, good guns, smoke and usable torps, and she is arguably one of the most beautiful ships in the game. Before deciding to get her you should be aware however, that her weaknesses are more pronounced than her strengths (in my opinion). I think her good recent winrate might be a bit inflated by only the better players playing her more recently, since for average players it might feel like too much of an uphill battle and they'll ignore her. The strengths: she is fast, has strong gun alpha damage and has a fast torpedo reload with stealth torpedo capability (the torpedoes themselves are nothing special, but workable). Health pool is pretty average, as is her turning radius. Gun dpm is decent (about equal to Jervis), with ballistics being equal to the European t5 and t6 DDs (same guns). AA we don't talk about. Weaknesses: Concealment is amongst the worst at her tier (same as Maass, worse than Mahan or Vauquelin) and she has catastrophic rudder shift (almost 6 seconds!). In terms of playstyle, she sits somewhere between Maass and Mahan, I think. She works well as a flanker or a fleet screen, but is quite bad at cap contesting, at least early on because of bad maneuverability and concealment. If you are experienced enough to play around the weaknesses, she is a ton of fun and often gets underestimated. I like her a lot and for the coal cost she is definitely worth it if you like DDs. Might be unfair to compare as its not really a gunboat. The french t7 dd ( which i forgot the name of) I would have even money on Mahan vs Blyska. I understand your points, but on the aspect of (long range) gunboating, only the Leningrad is equal in my opinion. :) FR DDs only start to get really goos at T8 (in my opinion). Jervis is rather slow and Skane has no smoke (but does have a heal). Both Jervis and Haida are better cap contesters, but I don't think theh are better in open water gunboating. Just my opinion but to some extent Jervis, Vaquelin(?), Gadja Madda, Skåne, Haida. And it not only the T 7 DDs that makes it powercrept, its also all new Gimmicky ships in same tiers or the tier above that it gets sucked into as well. But as I said, still a good boat. On Blyska I learned how to DD and went from being 40% WR to be over 50% WR. For almost a year my every game session started with battle on Błyska. My first 19pt (when it was a thing) captain was trained on her. That being said she is not strongest or best DD at T7 by a big margin. Biggest problem for me was always to fight Haida. But with range build she can be very annoying HE spammer. With RPF/reload build she can be very effective DD hunter, just don't hunt Haidas ;) Now I either use my Halland/Smaland captain on her for DD hunting (remember to lure other DDs into chasing you, this way you can dictate engagement while kiting away with high speed and having more guns on the stern) or Friesland/Ragnar/Oster captain for long range HE spamming. BTW Yes, Squadron 303 camo is only proper on to use! :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
