With Wargaming announcing new Superships today and introducing Carriers that are essentially Tier 11 and above, let's see what they said when they first introduced Superships.

Dear oh dear oh dear.

They lied as many times before, managenent lied so hardcore fans open the wallets for the hollidays, it passed, bonuses secured and its buissness as usual in St.Petrsbourg... :Smile_sceptic:

You mean outdated, sold Russian Charlie models that can barely launch when surfaced and are heard across the globe as loud as they are?

Sadly not surprising WGs statements are more disingenuous than those of politicians.

i think someone in charge of WG is a guy like your profile picture

Hang on though, Super CVs can't be 11 as they are only for even tiers, so are these the first T12 ships?

:Smile_unsure:

This is the reason why they're not calling them Tier XI, so we can have CVs and subs :cap_haloween:

Pretty much this. I was delighted to see the more open presentation of information and how they think about things. Was thinking about cracking open the wallet. And then, they announce this trash, showing that there has been no fundamental change in the malicious, contemptuous attitude they have toward the playerbase and the game itself.

Makes me sad.

On second thought, I very much can imagine ballistic missile as "consumable", akin to airstrikes, that requires sub to be on surface and probably spotted for entire launch procedure duration. Instaclap on one in the open, but very much feasible for island camping:cap_hmm:

First thing I though when I saw this new Dev Blog was "Wow, how fast time goes by, it's April Fool's day!".

But no.

Giving TXI to people with less than 200 battles and without any game knowledge it's a terrible idea. You don't read any feedback, right? Why did you ask for them if you literally don't listen to the playerbase? It's so hard to understand the bad impact of newcomers with TX subs will be as bad, if not worst, with TXI ships on random battles?

I will beg to Jesus, Alláh, Buda, Michael Jordan and the Flying Spaghetti Monster that this was just a bad joke posted on the wrong date. And I'm atheist.

Noone should be surprised that WG's stated reasons for doing things is always a lie.

The only real reason for superships is simple:

- WG has flooded the game with premium T9s and that tier is now pretty much saturated, a lot of players have multiple T9 premiums and are less likely to draw their wallet when the next one comes. Each new T9 will have deminishing returns for WG.

- The best fix for that is: make them irrelevant by introducing T11, this way you can legitimise selling T10 for money instead of just for harder to obtain resources like steel or RP.

With the introduction of T11 they will also open the flood gates for new T10 premiums that will be available for money.

With anything WG does: scrap the reason they give, this is 100% always the BS reasons, ask yourself how are they going to monetise this, this will be the real reason WG does things.

They barely had that working around 1968.

Russian naval guns IRL, especially early on had life expectancy of their barrels that can be charitably described as "optimistic" and had to be redesigned to not have to swap barrels mid fight, with each revision requiring different ammo, making logistics only tad more annoying. Sure, case of "teething problems" but that didn't stop WG from delivering "Russian Railguns", did it?
