Nice but i dont think so, not feeding WG any more money for this game unless they stop with the nonsense… :fish_glass:

I mean we could have perhaps found an odd duck here and there that actually wanted and asked for super-ships or subs but super-carriers with jets… :fish_palm:

I'd normally be rather excited about something like this i.e. healing premium cruiser at T7, and a variation on a favourite existing ship; sadly, being announced at the same time as the Super CVs (and with submarines still set to return in a couple of months) rather takes the shine off...

Mixed feelings. Nice to have the Maya. But this makes the ARP Maya as just an Atago clone extra dubious.

Downgrading the existing ARP Maya’s to the new T7 real Maya would be troublesome for WG.

Yeah... pro tip, always paint your floor starting at the corner and work your way out.

The history buffs may want to weight in, but I imagine the weeb one would Maya as built (if they'd built it weeb, of course), and the new T7 is the later war rebuild ('as sunk', for want of a better expression)?

With a reload booster:

And missing the fifth turret in case you hadn't noticed.

You are correct. The new T7 is indeed the rebuild. I believe it might actually be in WoWs: Legends already? I for one was very disappointed that the ARP Maya was not the rebuild version.

She sounds rather promising Narai fodder, not that I really need more ships for that...

I dare even call her interesting, with the reload booster straight out of the box o' gimmicks.

Hm, I like to see Maya.... BUT:

It would, even without the MBRB, already a be very strong Tier 7 cruiser by nature of the repair party alone. It has way better torpedo arks compared to Myoko, with way stronger torpedos, and a modified AA. Better concealment than Myoko.  And then of course comes the MBRB.

That was kind of my initial reaction: I thought she sounded more like a T8 (sidegrade torps, lose a turret, but better AA, and reload boost - compared to Atago); presumably, the guns will be messed with further, to make her 'balanced'.

Either that, or she's the first deliberately OP ship to be released, for later nerfing after she's sold lots on the grounds of being OP?

Yeah, i also thought, she  honestly should fare pretty well in Tier 8...

And would probably make it a lot more "bearable" for the ARP Maya players, to have their boat changed. And honestly it should, since in the Manga/ Anime it has, so far as i remember, also the four turret layout.

Who's gonna comfort Myoko for becoming entirely obsolete once this hits the live-server?

Myoko having five turrets while Maya only has four, reload booster or NO reload booster, argues otherwise.

Myoko is still a strong cruiser, only her limited range keeps her from dumping on pretty much everything in sight in that tier...

So 1 extra turret compensates for a heal (ignoring all the other gimmicks)? Really?

One extra turret and 2km on the torpedoes. Myoko is more comfortable at mid ranges and can get more guns on target at finer angles.

Maya is a bit more like a German cruiser - you have to get closer than you might like to use the torps - and you'll have to show broadside to get all of those guns on target and get max benefit from MBRB - risky in a ship with a long, above water citadel. A heal won't save you if you mistime that manoeuvre.  Looks great fun, tbh, although my port is getting a bit full of this type of cruiser.

What you need 2km torps for...  :Smile_unsure:

Not only is this a historical ship, it's also a T7 cruiser with a heal, which is a big survival boost against T9 monsters.

I'm relatively interested. But looking at how they butchered HMS Dido I don't have high hopes.
