Happy New Year! 

 

In your opinion - what is the BEST thing that WG did in WoWs in 2021?

 

 

For me it is perpetual "Ranked" !

 

I only wish they keep the separation of ship tiers participating in Bronze / Silver / Gold leagues!

 

 

With that system in place I can comfortably use my 25% OFF for Resources twice a year to buy the most expensive Steel ships (IMHO using 25% OFF for Resources is only meant for Steel ) - once in December and once in June!

 

(and grind ships lines that didn't yet reached Tier X when there is separation of ship tiers participating in Bronze / Silver / Gold leagues)

Convoy was okay but for me got boring fast.

Agree with the new game modes but you are right Convoy was fun and has more potential but it was a little too easy for the attacking team really.

Convoy was a good example of how to screw up a great idea.. so.. dunno, if that's the best WG(mz) did then...

They deleted the real ranked which was more fun than the current sprint ranked because it required more brains to climb up in short time. So this is one of the worst things they have done.

 

They introduced the same sprint ranked with leagues. Nothing changed except adding leagues to the sprint. Even the rewards didn’t change in a positive way. Players get the same rewards of three season (was like 6 weeks each) real ranked season in never ending whole year duration all sprint seasons. 
 

From game play wise ranked overall got dumber thanks to these changes made by WG. Bronze and Silver leagues were somewhat beneficial for players who wanted to grind or regrind ships. However, WG managed to screw it up too and made both silver and gold leagues playable by only tier 10s. Sorry grinders, go back to random…

 

In summary, current iteration of sprint ranked is one of the worst things WG did this year. Both the first sprint iteration and real ranked seasons were much better and fun than this one.

 

 

EDIT: I forgot about them adding super ships and subs to current ranked sprint mode. Testing their stuff on us like lab rats. We never received a complete product and we won’t. Besides, with these additions they ruined the ranked format even more. Imagine playing against invisible, undetectable ships and tier 11 ships….And you call this “ranked”?…

Sorry, I don't remeber anything that was good about the development of the game. There was nothing, that was really an improvement for the game.

Best thing WG did this year, is the current CB season. Imho they nailed the settings for this one. Petro is still very much a problem but if you're looking at the rules only and not the stupid ships, this is the very best that WG has to offer in terms of CB.

Removal of submarines. I have idea for WG. Instead temporary removal of submarines, remove subs permanently but keep only good thing which subs bring to game - 3k Coal mission  As I give WG good ideas you can give me Somers or Black 

 

Convoy mode was pretty nice, battles of superships in their dedicated mode ( this with two superbattleships only ) was fine too, birthday presents too, disclosure of drop percentage was step in good direction

New German battleships, and that's it. Everything else was a steaming pile of...

 

 

Other good things were convoy mode (but that was screwed up) and removal of submarines (but I can't give WG any credit for it because they shouldn't have been introduced in the first place).
