A nice idea, hopefully no miscommunications this time. 
Despite my complete lack of artistic talent, i might make something, it will be fun, and after all even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Can it be a 3D camo or are we restricted to only 2D camouflagues? When I say 3D camo I mean altered geometry, like the gothic Bismarck or the halloween ships.

Lets start this off.
Since Aviere means Airman I of course went to the italian Airforce and their aerobatic demonstration team specifically the Frecce Tricolori which I actually saw some years ago.

So my camo is heavily inspired by their paint scheme

• The main part of the ships Hull is in a rich blue with a stylised italian flag around the funnel
• as well as the "Tricolour Arrows" as some sort of ships crest near the bow anchor.
• The torpedoe tubes (since there are 3) are also green/white/red like the italian flag.
• The turrets are the same blue as the hull while the Blastbags are grey and the barrels are yellow/golden
• The rest of the ships superstructure is white or can stay in the traditional italian light gray apart from the platforms for O and X turret
• The deck stays in the darker gray with the aerial markings at the bow.
• Equipment, boats, AA guns, ect. keep their normal color.

Here's my stab at this contest. The skin is inspired by the legendary Italian navy tall ship, Amerigo Vespucci, nearly contemporary to the destroyer Aviere . It includes a bowsprit of the explorer himself and the Italian tricolor.

Hi from me...

 

First of all my nickname in the game is mayoll...

About the camo the idea has 4 layers. The basic Color of the ship is light brown... Then we have geometric light blue shapes that complete the deception of the mass of the ship. Those shapes continues in the  superstructure of the ship... After the light blue shapes we have lines that comes from underwater map... The forth layer is the dark grey colour that gives the illusion of waves on the hull of the ship... The same shapes on the superstructure reflect a fin of a shark and connect the main role of a Destroyer (sudden attack) with the attack of the Shark... And finally the camo completes with placement of the main element of the logo of the game in two colours... THE ANCHOR...

 

UNFORTUNALLY I DOWNLOAD THIS IMAGE AND NOT THE OTHER ONE WITH 3 ANGLES....

T'was a play on WG using Historical accuracy to suit their in game Plots and Shenanigans., Nerfing a ship for shooting down a few to many planes and claiming historical accuracy. But introducing Subs that make Sea Quest DSV look like the Holland

Hello, my nickname in the game is GepardNL. I am from the Netherlands and this is my entry to this Camouflage Contest – Italian Destroyer Aviere

 

For my entry I did some "google" research into the camouflages used within the Italian Navy during WW2 and my design is based on this as well.

 

·         The hull is completely covered in a camouflage consisting of broken polygons, colored with 2 contrasting shades of grey, namely light gray and dark gray. Slightly influenced by German camouflage schemes as applied in 1942 within the Regina Marina.

·         The camouflage scheme moves from the hull to the superstructures of the ship.

·         The underwater side of the hull is painted dark green with a black line on the “waterline”

·         On the fore and aft of the hull above the waterline, waves are painted in 4 shades of blue to give extra dimension and speed to the ship. And to confuse the opponents about speed and size of the ship.

·         Amidships I have applied the Italian flag and on a platform amidships the gun turret is colored red just like the Italian flag on the hull to emphasize the Italian identity.

·         I kept the Life rafts yellow to give contrast against the camouflage scheme

·         The bow of the ship features the well-known diagonal red-white aerial stripes.

·         Personally, I like the deck in wooden planking color better, but the deck was painted in dark gray later in the war, so I opted for a gray color.

PS : The basic drawing, the 3D and views, I colored by hand using pencils and markers. No digital programs used for the coloring.

I just Cast my vote and have to say i feel a little disapointed in some of the choices there. Congradulations to those that made it. However I truly feel some of those that were selected were honestly a bit disapointing at least when i compair them to mine.

i see a lot of efforts in drawing ... but lot of effort doesn't mean it will become nice one ...

 

it is not insulting or something like that ,, but just i wanted to see something makes my eyes calm ,,,

 

sadly i gave 1 point only to all draws ...

 

maybe Jasper115 is the best here but i dont mean it is good though :D

also ASFdestroyer not that bad camo but need some rework ..

 

i wish WG give you all some rewards for your efforts ... but i dont want to see one of these cameos in the game :D

Thanks for the the ''compliment'', I fully agree with you on everything you said,  I feel 50% of the camos were 100% worse than mine, but this is not to say that i am the best. One thing that has been higlighted to me iss that the vote seems to be biased to RU server. 

 

I think they should have given the servers 50 camos to pick from. I challenge WG to Submit a vote 50 of the camos uploaded and i garuntee 50% of these ones they have picked will be ignored.
