So you play ranked, you see team lineup, you see that every enemy player is in clan, and you see that 3 of your players are not in clan.

What do you think, are players who are not in clan bad?

I am not saying that every clan is great but without clan a players lose a lot of discounts, division friends, clan battles etc.

Do you think you have more chance to lose if you have more players that are not in clan then enemy team?

Not at all. Being in a clan doesn't determine what type of a player you are. There may be many reasons for a player not to be in a clan; maybe he doesn't care to be in one, maybe he was in a clan before and got bored, maybe he likes playing solo and doesn't need a clan. There are clans for even players with red stats, so if a bad player wants to join a clan, there is plenty of them. Being in a clan or not is not a sign of anything, unless they are in one of top 10 try hard clans, then you know the player is good.

I wouldn’t honestly place too much faith on the idea being in a clan guarantees anything about a players ability.

There can any number of reasons why a person chooses to leave a clan and not all clans have entry requirements.

No. What I worry about is players who show up in the Matchmaking Monitor as never having played the ship before or having hidden stats.

That's even scarier, especially if the player in question is playing a high tier premium. Like Thunderer.

IMHO clan membership has no bearing on how good a player is, except for the few top clans who have wr requirements.

Clan membership has certain advantages, but I've also left clans because they demanded too much involvement of me. So it's not a big deal either way.

What about people like me who hide their stats to play better? It makes me nervous knowing they can drop and hiding them solves that problem.

Someone thinks what I posted was boring. I will rephrase it, so I have been in clans with, for example, litteraly a person with perception problems which was telling lies all the time about what was happening in battle so we did not noticed it, and of course the gameplay in division was a horror mixed with other clan mates that were directly cowards that avoided combat, made me want to quit the game. Other people that rant in discord for half an hour of a problem none cares so you cannot play the game waiting for him to pick a damm ship. High ego youtubers that just want you arround to take part in his videos. People that think that putting 200 doublons to create a clan makes them fuhrer of the clan so they can shout at you at will and that you are just the clicker of the commands of a ship that belongs to them. Clans with previous psycopath members problems that then created rules like " in clan battles seasons you cannot talk about the ships selected by the commanders  until it is 22:00 pm", no matter if you only played until 19:00 pm, so I could not talk in discord about ships in a game of ships, it was considered a lack of respect because they had spent sometime discussing about it. That ment that if I entered the  game I just was able to do what I was told, from selecting the ship, to moving it into the battle.

Being in a clan, just that dont allow me to focus in the develompent of tech tree ships as I would like, but even more if you put on top all the previous things.

Playing without clan, discord active clan, saves me from all these things, I finish a battle and start another one inmediatelly with the ship I want and it feels great.

About stats hidding, honestly who cares about them but the psyco people that wants to disturb me in battle, just for fun or because they are frustrated with their sexual life, and actually makes me have a poorer result? Problem avoided.

Well, I am in a clan simply for economical reasons. I have the distinct impression that players who forgo about 10% economic benefits miss out on other characteristics of the gameplay as well. Such as basic understanding of game mechanics :Smile_trollface:

I was in a clan and it was a very demanding one, it gave me more stress than benefits and I couldn't commit to the level they were expecting, so I left.

Then I started to get invitations after performign well in battles. I explained I couldn't commit to clan battles and other stuff and they understood and left me alone, until the leader of my current clan said "that's fine, we don't care", so I joined.

I suppose we are all in different places and we fall wherever we fit best or not.

Some clanless people might be good or even very good players. Some are just in inter period between exiting old clan and joining a new one. Some just prefer playing like that. I had a guy on enemy team that was really decent, playing 6 years this game and never joined a clan. And what was really surprising and in the same time pretty sad fact - he only played 1 battle in division ever. ONE battle! Yes it's sad to play this game for 6 years and not have any friends in- game....

It’s the same logic, a player with or without division games is not a sign of having in game friends or not. For example I play solo but o have many in game friends. It’s about having time to play with friends or having the equipment or not at the moment, etc. besides people have real life friends. In essence, “feeling the need” to have friends in an online game to play together is really sad and may even require professional help because it could very well be considered as an addiction.

But you're in a clan, you're here in forum. This dude what I'm talking about is nowhere. And I even talked to him but he didn't say much. Yes he has IRL friends but I mean the in-game ones cause "why would I make digital friends" kind of response he gave to me. Kinda boomer thinking but ok.

But he is right. If one is already occupied irl but still likes the game and wants to play once in a while, he can do it, and do it without needing to have digital friends. I know a guy who is one of the best players, like he could play in any #1, 2, 3 clan and they probably even sent an invite him to join, he's still clanless. I know him for 4 years minimum. Only exchanged some messages a couple of times. He told me he doesn't need a clan and doesn't even have time for a clan here because he is already in a good clan at another game, WoWarcraft. He doesn't have digi friends here, he doesn't need, he's a solo top player, and it's not sad when you think of it.

I'm only in a clan for clan bonuses, another main reason is not having enough time for getting acquainted with ppl online. Yes i come to forum with the intent of sharing my game experience with others (may be helpful or not, is another discussion topic ofc) and to see if there are news about new ships. That's it.

For me this is weird, like stuck in the 90's.

I don't remember having digi game friends in 90s either. Plus MMO games weren't there during 90s. It's more like 2000s.

Not only in games of he says Digi friends. What I mean stuck in the 90's cause you barely had any kinds of social networks, maybe ICQ or 90's Microsoft Messenger from what I remember.

For me that's some ancient times being 90's kiddo back then. That's why I don't get that mentality. Even my dad is more into social networks than that dude in game (I believe).

i agree, it feels old times today to  remember 90s although i was out of college then. Remembering late 70s and 80s as a kiddo is the real ancient for me.

I saw someone call out another player on enemy team midgame yesterday, then i had to TAB, it was one on our team in same clan as one on enemy team and i had to laugh.

I want to find a good rushing BB clan that speak english, I usually get tons of invites and its all in german after they have an english name.

I don't have time to analyze people during the battle or ask them why they are hiding their stats.

From experience, people who hide their stats play badly.

There's also a flip side to this, I never report or criticize bad players who are honest or new. Especially in mid tier games. You can have your stats in cherry red across the board, I won't do a thing.

After CVs were introduced my clan stopped playing CBs. We still had some blurbs about playing competitive etc. in our clan description.

When ownership of the clan moved to me, I immediately removed any and all signs we played competitively.

We still have fun, it's just we stopped trying hard to get a CB team going.

People should always do what's fun to them, this is an entertainment product after all.

There's nothing like some good-natured ribbing when you see a clown from your own circus.

And those invites are because of your emblem, it's a calling card of Wehraboos.
