Do we have a official confirmation from WG that the Commander Skill "Survivability Expert" has a bug?

I expect them to give us the first info next week - we are investigating that.

In a month we get statement that it is a bug.

And then, in about 3 to 6 months it will be fixed, hopefuly without introducing another bug.

And if you ask for free commander reset to not use SE in the meantime they will tell you that you are getting the SE benefit exactly as it is described, ie. more displayed hitpoints on your ship, despite the fact that using it leads to worse actual survivability.

But maybe I am wrong with that prediction and WG in 2022 will be a completely different, pro-customer company... :cap_yes:

Yeah WG is really dragging their feet every time community detects a f-up and shows its repeatable and reproducible…

Even if they are “investigating” there is no reason for them NOT to give a free respec for all captians or at least those that have SE selected in their skills for any class of ship WHILE they are “investigating” other then to gouge us for gold…

Hi all,

I got answer from Reddit (WG official Reddit person):

We are currently investigating the issue and looking into how it can be resolved. We will provide a PSA as soon as we have the solution. Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.

This is the new, announced transparency from wargaming.

I can state with reasonable certainty if it was the premium shop not working they'd have every tech person in St Petersberg dragged out of their beds in the middle of the night and get it fixed faster than you can say 'CoMmUnIcaTIoN GaP!'.

Look at the blistering speed they fixed the CV AA (when AA was actually shooting down planes - 'Bloody hell Oleg! We cannot have that!').

Seems the quaterly/yearly goals are met, bonuses are secured and the staff is kicking it back and laughing how they pulled throgh another year basically ignoring players as “irrelevant” well wg hope you know what you are doing there in the central couse your income source might not survive another “perfect shi*storm event” and this is brewing fast towards one…

It was well timed indeed. Here’s the video if anyone missed it:

How canthis skill have a bugg? Its the easiest stuff ever, and was implemented years ago already

Poorly coded to start with, not properly documented and then someone else comes in and makes changes without understanding the implications would be by guess.

This is the sort of thing public test is supposed to pick up, but the population on there is so low that even something like this can slip through.

If I read that forum post from the American forum correctly, this bug even affects CV:s because it makes AA mounts indestructible. If this is true, do you suppose it might mean that Wargaming will prioritize a bug fix...?

When a bug does the job of a feature.

The fix is not a fix at all, WG are changing how survivability expert works...

''Allegedly'', nothing will really be changing. But this is WG we are talking about. Although it probably won't lead to SE becoming unviable.
