I played the Russian line and found Serov to be a monster and Pobeda to be similarly adequate. They lack punch when it comes to destroyers (mostly), but the penetration of those rockets more than makes up for it. Then, Nakhimov. Surely it must be the pinnacle of balans? The lord of pen? The czar of stalinium bombs? No such thing! I found it rather underwhelming. For carrying (not that I carry often) Hakuryu seems infinitely better. For griefing (er... I play the Nakhimov mostly in ranked and have a lot of fun with her. DD's feel like some counter to her, only skip bombs are kinda reliable against them and they can be very rng heavy. Also if you are forced to search a lonely DD at a flank you lose a lot of time you could have used better. Also agile and small cruisers can be hard to kill (at least for me). BB's are her natural prey, i don't see how they can defend themself against her. Tried other cv's but I still don't like playing them. The weapon mix from Nakhimov is just way more fun for me. I try to not play her in random, ranked is fine for me because it's the tryhard mode. Don't see why I shouldn't play the strongest ship I have in that mode. Her main weak point as far as I see her is her gigantic citadel, if she is spotted shoot at her. She won't last long and you can see her from the moon. Yeah totally underwhelming to have 17k of my HP taken and and set on fire, just to have the torp planes coming for me within 30 seconds for another 15k to then finish me with the rocket planes another 20 seconds later...my DCP can't keep up. It was going to be a good game and a close one until the CV started aiming for our flank. (I was in Missouri, with a JB and AA cover near-by and this CV just smiled and kept coming) Both attacking with full squads whilst our CV Hakuiyu (w/e it's spelt) is using half squads... I said in chat that I was reporting them for playing that specific ship, and he called me toxic then started to call me simple and other such insults because he's playing a broken ship...
