my thoughts exactly when i saw it. Buuuuuut, if you throw you credit card at us, you have 37.5 times the chance of getting a ship.

YOU GREEDY :etc_swear:

So [edited]happy. After last year when I got Alaska, even tho I already own Alaska. This year I got Atlanta...... even tho I already own atlanta. Thx WG!

Is it even possible to get B variant of a ship I don't own? Or you just dropping duplicates?

What is even the point in giving out copies of same ships? @Crysantos @MrConway

beacouse then they dont have to give you another ship or doublons.

Getting a perma black camo for the ship we got would make much more sense, but WG says they are not the same ship:cap_haloween:

Why, you ungrateful bastard! You only need to buy 300 containers to get a ship! :cap_haloween:

actually not. since every container has that drop chance, not that after 200 one, your chance increase. even after container number 389 chance is stil 0,32,so you actually might never get ship.

they did say that they will change that, i dont think it works on black containers.

@Crysantos @MrConway Would you let us know if the GUARANTEED DROP mechanic applies to the Black Friday containers as well?

re-posting it here for those who didn't saw that dev blog

GUARANTEED DROP

That's why, besides probabilities for containers, we've also created a special mechanic a while back which guarantees that a certain item group with a reward will drop after a specific number of containers were opened. This mechanic protects players from severe "bad luck" and works the same way for everybody. The only thing taken into consideration is the number of containers of the same type opened by a player.

For example, if you don't get the "Ships" item group drop after opening specific number of containers containers, then the next container opened is guaranteed to drop a reward from this group.

The counter for a guaranteed drop of a certain item is reset when this item is dropped, be it randomly or because of the counter being triggered. Drop rates are stated without consideration of this mechanic, as it just forces the specific reward without random. Together with its drop rates, we will also let you know if this mechanic is present and what its settings are when a container becomes available so that you can have a full understanding of how it works so that that you can make an informed decision when purchasing containers.

The premium ones do have it, after the 20th container. Says just at the end of their description.

The free ones no. With that abysmal rate, getting a ship from them is more like a fantasy than a probability. I'm still debating if they are worth even 99 dubs :cap_haloween:

Those Black camos are really good looking; some of the best designs in the game in my opinion. I've been hoping for them to release a USS Black Black, but no luck so far. :Smile_teethhappy:

That's actually scary as well.... that "specific number of containers" could very well be 100 LMAO

I appreciate the announcement on the % for getting a ship. So for the category “ premium ship”  you know it is atleast 12% or 0,32%.  But after being lucky and getting the main category prize, how does the follow up allocation work?

Like if you have none of the ships, and I hope most for e.g. Scharnhorst B, it’s 1/ 16 chance or do some ships receive the Makarov treatment?  Like even without “ Makarov” mechanics earlier Xmas crates clearly showed bias towards low tier before mid tier before high tier before rare ships.

And if you own some B ships ( like fe 6) does the basic 12% stay the same but you continue to roll on a smaller table so my chance to get that Scharnhorst B is now 1 out of 10? Or do you still roll on 16 but if you roll an already owned ship ( this case 6/16) you reroll? And which reroll, the ships table or the initial one ( that with 12% chance)?

If they got caught doing that...

You can directly buy the ship you want and of which you don’t have the non black version yet. Why did you go gambling, knowing that it could drop any of the 16 ships?

As I understand it, the basic chance of getting *a* ship stays the same, regardless of how many you have already - provided you don't have all of them; supposedly, once you roll a ship, what you get is determined randomly from those you don't have. So, your basic chance of getting *a* ship stays the same as long as there is at least one that you haven't got yet; once you've rolled *a* ship, you then roll again against the list of things you don't have yet.

In my case, I had all the previous years' ships (yeah, I know...), so the first ship to drop was - supposedly - randomly determined from those I didn't have, and I got Yoshino; next one, there were even fewer possibilities, and I got Loyang.

Once you have everything on the 'ships' list, the chance of getting *any* ship drops to zero (so the old route to getting doubloons for duplicates is closed).

Yoshino

To be fair, at £83 for a Yoshino, "we will never sell tier 10" is probably a true statement...
