Last team standing: We need this in randoms.

Not counting the clock of course but we need a mode in randoms where it's last team standing because I am tired of the capturing aspect of the game. So many wins for one side could end up losses if we had this mode. 

 

Having one mode for points capture is fine but we need ship vs ship until either the clock runs out or one team is gone. 

.

We need this all the time.

Actually it would deter camping because the timer would run out and your team could lose very easily.

nach, it would be total camp fiesta. People would not want to be first dead. And you would have 0 reasons to push. So wy would you even try to push in this mode?

So one team goes corner camping at one map corner and the other diagonally from them and what next?

To settle the argument, Wargaming could introduce the "Last Man Standing (or whatever)" mode as a test and monitor the results in the famous Spreadsheet.

 

It's not as if they have anything else going on at the moment.

If anything I would put the capping Circle of Standard match on the opposite side from spawn, ofc with a time delay say first 7-10min the cap is grayed out and then well if you didn’t secure it… :fish_haloween:

But if you camp the opposing team is just going to rush you from both sides and sink you quickly.

In theory, but random players want to camp to not die. So yeach. Thats that.

Oh, FFS, if you want a quick match just have both teams spawn in the middle of the map, on Two Brothers.....

 

Naval Warfare is about control of territory more than destroying the other side.

Yes, but... only indirectly.

 

That's why I think we have those gimmicky cap zones in the game. We could just have battles which are based on ships/tonnage (make that HP) lost over the course of the battle. This would work similar to the points count we currently have in the game. Since the caps are entirely just a gimmick with little or no tactical value per se, I'd find the points count method mostly preferable.

 

If neither side can score a decisive victory (in terms of points), the battle would be termed undecided (draw).

Bloody hell. I'm actually finding myself in agreement with the Good Colonel in his assessment of the OP's idea being daft. I'm struggling here.

Perhaps we could have a rolling map, to discourage camping, I mean. If you camp, you drop off the battle... or something? I know it's arcadey, because it's straight out an arcade mechanic, but if it works?.... :cap_yes:

Think of how often a DD or CV who ran/sits in the corner of the map cannot be killed before battle timer expires.

 

Now imagine a game with subs being able to dive and stay under for 10 mins.

As someone who was around when this game was released I can tell you we already had this. Standard battles without points, the amount of 20 minute draws was unbearable.

 

As a solution to this problem, WG added points and domination mode. One of the best additions over the whole game life time.

 

This is a tactical / strategic shooter, if you want to play a free for all just play call of duty.

Not sure when they added that but... if I got here early enough, I don't recall having a problem with battles lasting too long or being boring back in 2015...

 

... it's more like the exact opposite with Now vs. Then....
